Kid Icarus! Even though I've only played the last one, the other two franchises I've toyed with before have about 6 installments I've never played, so.)
A sharp glimmer from the sky sparks for seemingly no reason. Slowly, the glimmer becomes larger and larger until it's obvious what it is. A meteor is crashing -- literally -- from the heavens. As the intense heat from the meteor warps the area behind it, it to take hours to land.
Once it does, how-ever, it's a sight to behold. Most of the meteor still remains, and through small cracks radiates an almost blinding light which is extremely noticeable against tar-black and magma-red. In it's small crater, it budges. And then tips over. And then rocks like a wooden riding horse.
Finally, it begins to crack. In a spider-web-like pattern, the same huge light bursts through and it seems like the light it-self is going to break it. As the cracks widen, the crater's pieces fall away like peeled orange slices.
In it is a startling discovery. A young boy, likely in his early teens, wears a toga-like tunic and black shorts and a small green wreath tops his head. Unlike most people would assume, his skin isn't nearly albino, being an 'angel', how-ever, it is pale. Standing up in his brown sandals he speaks.
"Insert... Pun..." Kid (I know, it's Icarus, but Palutena calls him Kid often, so.) weakly replies, wise-cracking as usual, clutching his black hair. He seems to be bleeding. -
Links head snaps up and he starts running to the crash sight

(Wait, Ticci, you hugged who? Be a bit more descriptive about that and tell who you're hugging in third-person, like *Drops to the floor and hugs Icarus tightly*. Far better.)
