After the short break and a drink, Aubery stood up, ready to try this receiving thing.
Jason got in to position.
She ran, continuing to run when Jason threw the ball.
But, it fell right through her fingers. -

Dalton, as he was the back-up kicker, punted his special camoflauge football from his brother. Unfortunately for him, it whizzed over their side of the field and landed around the middle of River View's. He groaned loudly, kicking at the ground. He started towards the othet side.
Daniel, noticing him, followed suit in case he was planning something idiotic. -
Aubery sighed from her failed attempt. Grant came up behind her and patted her back. "It's your first practice lighten up."
"You're right I guess." Her eyes went to the football that landed on their side of the field. Aubery walked to get it. She picked it up. -
Dalton and Daniel, shortly after her doing so, approached them. Dalton, with a bit of a tremor in his voice,
"Um, yeah, can I have that back?" Daniel smiled kindly at Aubery, not exactly focused on the situation at hand. Her hair was what originally caught his attention, but now he saw that she was beautiful altogether, and that was only a plus. -
She held out the ball to the teen, not very sure of who he was, but well, he was on the other side.
"Here ya go."
Aubery looked at Daniel, returning the smile. -
Dalton thankfully took it, leaving them to go back to the other side.
"What position do you play?" Daniel questioned, giving a slight tilt of the head. It was very out of the ordinary for a female player, and since there was one in front of him, he wanted to know. -
"Running back." She put her hands on her hips. She guessed he'd be interested in knowing about a female playing. It wasn't rocket science.

"That's really awesome, actually," he complimented. "I'm Daniel, by the way." He felt the need to introduce himself.

"Thanks, dude." She smiled again. "And, you're the quarterback, right?"

"No problem." He grinned. "Yes, yes I am." He gave a small nod, as well. Don't overdo it, Dan. he mentally warned himself.

"Oh, cool." Aubery looked down for a moment and back to him. "Well, I gotta go practice now..."

"Hey, wait. After practice, would you be interested in talking for a little while?" He wondered if he would able to score with the "date" and get to know her a little better. After all, she did seem interesting and pretty darn awesome.

Aubery smiled at him and used her fingers to comb some of her thick hair away from her face. "Sure."
