He really couldn't even form words, so he just showed him the front of the letter.

Austin read the address.
The name... -
Nathan sat up next to Austin, opening the first envelope. He was excited, but also somewhat nervous.
-
Austin had a bit of anticipation rushing through his veins. This really made him curious.
-
Nathan managed to vocalize whatever he was reading.
"Dear Nathan (or Oliver, since I'm not sure which one I'm writing to, at this moment),
I suppose this is a bit overdue, considering it's been three years since I packed my things and went. Trust me, sweetheart, I do really love you, but I thought some time away would do us both good. You were having a lot of trouble dealing with your...problem. Though I am glad that the "thing" you got into to make yourself feel better was helped before it escalated. I could not find myself in the right environment for a journalist, so I left.
Just...left.
I agree, yes, that I should have at least given your father and you some warning, but I was afraid of the consequences. Admittedly, I do not feel as though it was a mistake, as I was never much help to you, anyway.
I guess I should end this letter here. Hopefully, you are reading this first, because all of the other letters were the ones that I wrote, wished to send, but cowardice took over, and I did not. If you ever want to visit me, as I believe we should both be ready, give me a call.
(305)-767-2343"
Nathan stared at the words on the paper, unsure of what he'd read, for that matter. -
Austin listened intently to Nathan reciting the letter.
-
Rather than open the other letters, he put them aside. "Why now?" He asked Dustin, who only shrugged.
"Your mother is a confusing person, I guess."
"And an a--hole," Nathan huffed, causing Dustin to widen his eyes in surprise. -
Austin could feel a slight tension going on. He contemplated intervening and
"..That doesn't seem very necessary to say.." -
"N-no, she leaves when I actually needed her. She didn't even try. But it's whatever, now, I guess." He put the letter on the coffee table, staring at the dalmatian.
-
Austin snuggled the large plushie.
-
Nathan returned everything but the dog to the box. "I'm gonna head to my room for a little bit. I guess, if you want to join me, feel free." He messed with Austin's hair just a bit before going off.
I'll be back around an hour and a half. -
yes im here now
-
Ello friend))
Austin simply nodded, laying down on the couch with the plushie. Everything felt a little awkward to him now. -
Aye. c:
Nathan (if this already happened, apologies) changed into his pajamas. He grabbed his MP3 player, curling up under his covers with his earphones in. He started the song "Echo" by Jason Walker.
Downstairs, Dustin sighed, pushing the box to the corner of the room. "So, how did you meet Nathan?" he asked once he returned back to his seat. -
I'm going to take the liberty of bumping this. ^-^
