He was trying to get through the streets as fast as possible. More and more people seemed to appear as he got closer to his destination. It pissed him off that so many people were just aiding in his punishment. I hate people, so much! After a while of pushing and shoving through, he started making process. It went from him almost being there to him being super close to oh hey look our front door! The exhausted teen went over to the door, fumbling in his backpack in order to get the keys. He haphazardly shoved them into the lock, unlocking the door and stepping in.
-
The redhead released his glasses, slowly placing them back on his face. "Welcome home. You're very late." He narrowed his eyes and leaned his chin in his palm. "You know to be here on time. No excuses." Phoenix stood and walked over to his brother, reaching to stroke his hair then gripped it firmly. "And you know what happens if you disobey my rules."
-
Lucifer gulped, staring at the older boy in slight fear. He attempted to get his backpack off, but he couldn't move his head due to Phoenix's hand, so he just threw it in hopes that it'd land in a corner. "B-But I have a legit excuse, you've got to believe me.." He whispered, staring straight into his brother's golden eyes.
-
He sneered a bit and leaned forward, so their faces were inches apart. He normally would've pulled Lucifer around, hitting him, shoving him into walls and furniture, and eventually forcing him to clean the house until it was spotless. But if there really was an honest reason for his rule-breaking, Phoenix wanted to hear it. "Fine. You have thirty seconds. Start talking, little brother Luci."
-
"I started thinking about us and I wasn't paying attention to the teacher so he gave me detention." Lu paused to breathe; He was talking as fast as possible while trying to be understandable. "I couldn't gotten out of it if I had come up with an excuse, but I can't lie very well, and I couldn't tell him the truth, so I got stuck in an hour long detention." He stared up at him, hoping that it'd be enough to get out of whatever cruel thing he had cooked up.
-
Brows raised slightly from interest, Phoenix gradually released his grip on the other's short hair, placing both hands on his hips to pull him closer. He gave a small smile and a light chuckle. "Thinking about us, huh? I can't let you get out of trouble for your detention, but...I'll be gentler with you. Do you have homework?" The older sibling asked as he placed a kiss to Lucifer's forehead.
-
Lucifer relaxed as soon as Phoenix seemed to be calmer. He snuggled into his brother's arms, sighing a bit. "I have a writing assignment, but it shouldn't be a bother. We have to write a short story that we'll have to share in the morning. I finished everything else in detention." He looked up a bit, a curious look in his face. "Why'd you ask?"
-
Phoenix wrapped the younger in his arms and rested his chin on the top of his head. "Because you need to do the laundry and clean up the bathroom, of course your education comes first. I suppose I'll just have to take care of dinner. But if you finish up everything before nine, I'll reward you." He murmured, nuzzling his face into his brother's hair.
-
Lucifer stood there, resisting the faint urge to bite his lip. He was late home, which meant he had less time to complete them. He wasn't exactly so sure he wanted the reward he was being offered, but he'd have to do the chores eventually, so why not just so them right then and there? He closed his eyes, muttering, "I'll do my best."
-
"You don't seem happy at all. Well, I suppose we can talk over dinner. Get to your chores." Phoenix knew that look, that tone. Lucifer had mixed feelings about the way they were with each other, the way Phoenix was with him. Ever since their parents passed, the older wanted nothing more than to love and protect his baby brother from the harsh world. But it was getting more difficult as Lucifer got older. The older sibling sighed and stepped back. "You know I love you, right? I want nothing more than for you to be happy with me."
-
"I know you love me, and I know you want me to be happy with you. It's just hard sometimes. It's not like I'll ever leave you." Lucifer smiled shyly, going to retrieve his backpack. "I love you too." The younger sibling turned away from Phoenix, heading towards his room. As soon as his back was to his brother, a small frown took over his smile. He wanted to get the chores done first, but Phoenix insisted that school came first. Lucifer would probably get too into his story and forget about the chores. He groaned. "Why didn't I ask him if I could write after chores?"
-
Phoenix eyed him curiously for a bit, as he thought he'd heard something, but deciding that Lucifer wasn't going to speak, Phoenix went to the kitchen to make dinner. He lightly bit his glasses again as he thought of what to make, perhaps something that would cheer up Lucifer, figuring that he was still a bit upset by anything. "But what would he really want...? He's not picky at all." He growled a bit as he looked through what they had to eat.
-
Lucifer walked into his room, throwing his backpack onto his bed. He went over to his desk, starting up his laptop. He walked over to his backpack, sitting down and opening it up. He grabbed the binder that was full of his notes. With a sudden spike of interest, he read the prompt; What would you do if you liked someone of the same gender? Write at least three pages worth of a story about your own made up character liking the same gender. Can be written or typed. If typed, it must be in size 16 font Arial. If written, it must be written in cursive. Must be in 1st person. Grade will be on the power you put into the words and grammar. He was sure this was just some lucky thing for him seeing as he had had a horrible time in detention. What he neglected to tell Phoenix was that the punks had beaten him up and the teacher hadn't been there to stop them. He cautiously put a hand down the back of his shirt, stroking a bruise there.
-
The older had his hair pinned back out of his face, glasses folded up and set aside. He couldn't stop thinking of his beloved baby brother, how tense and upset he'd been. Phoenix lightly bit his lower lip as he aggressively stirred fried rice and mixed vegetables, eventually tossing in pieces of chicken. Some would say cooking relaxes a person, but if anything it made Phoenix even more agitated. "...Lucifer..." He mumbled to himself. "I refuse to let anyone take you from me."
-
Lucifer began to type his story up. He forgot about all of the bad things, and soon he forgot about the real world. He was too focused in writing. It was like his soul was being sucked into the computer and being placed into the story. He hadn't noticed it, but the relationship going on in the story was close to his own with his brother's-- however, it wasn't incest, and they were way older and closer in age. Lucifer paid no attention to this and continued to write.
