"I don't know what the Order is," he reminded her.
-
She huffed. "The Order is a secret society that protects mortals from the darker supernatural creatures that plan on harming humanity. I've been with The Order since the beginning." God she was admitting she was old.
-
"And they've been around how long?" he asked. It was good that she didn't intend on harming him at all.
-
She coughed lightly. "Um...I'm really not willing to answer that question."
-
"... Fine. Just so you know, you don't look a day over twenty-five." He relaxed against the counter again.
-
She grinned. "I'll take that complement and to be honest I'm 21 in mortal years, but alot wiser than most 21 year old mortals."
-
"So wait, if I'm actually infected, I'll still continue to age, right?" Part of him didn't want to age on, but the rest was curious about the benefits of immortality.
-
She shook her head. "Werewolves can live as long as vampires and other creatures can but...you're only half of one. You're like me, you can choose to die when you feel like it. And before you say it no, immortality isn't fun. I've watched so many friends die that it hurts."
-
"I didn't think it would be fun." He sighed.
-
Good! So you're not like most people who have changed." She snorted. "They can be ass holes to deal with."
-
There was a bit of an awkward silence, as he didn't know how to respond. Then he spoke, changing the subject in the process. "So, what can I do while I'm stuck around here avoiding what you assume will cause my death?"
-
She rolled her eyes. "I don't assume, I know. You could watch tv or I really don't know. Just don't go into my room, ever. Even if you're curious as hell, just don't."
-
"That makes me even more curious," he joked.
-
She didn't take his joke lightly. glared at him coldly. "odd mortal."
-
He shrugged and walked out to the living room, where he settled on the couch with the remote in his hand.
