Rowan sat up, rubbing her eyes. She was hurting all over. "Who, daddy? He probably went to get food. Or something close to that." She followed his gaze.

"You sure about that? I would run after him but my wings.." He shook his head. He didn't even know why he cared. Horatio continued to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water, then returned to Rowen and handed it to her.

"I'm pawsitive! I'd know my daddy better than you. He'll be fine." She took the water, taking the pills and drinking the water. "Thank you, Horatio. He'll be back soon~! We can cuddle and talk until he does. And then I really gotta take a bath.. But you can help me get the water going and stopping, right?"

"Maybe talk, but not cuddle." He smiled. "And sure, I'll do that for you."

"I WANNA CUDDLE!" She screamed. A smaller version of the shadow monster flickered into view. This time, she was starting to cry rather than getting angry. "P-Pleeeeease?"

His smile faltered and his eye went void, slight in fear. He held up his hands in a defensive way. "Now now.. Your wounds..er, still need to heal. Having a big angel holding you isn't going to help them.."

"But I'm fine! I need cuddles, a-and Daddy isn't here to cuddle me, so you HAVE to." She stomped her little foot with rage. The monster flickered out of existence as she began to cry, tears dripping down her face. "No one likes me and it's not fair!"

He waved his hands side to side quickly. "No no no no no People like you, I mean.. I just don't feel comfortable with that and you can't force me to do it. I-if you force people then they won't l-like you. You see?"

Rowan stood there, a confused look on her face. "But if I don't force you.. You won't. And then you'll really be scared of me, right?" She sat on the floor to ponder about her behavior. When she was done thinking, she said sweetly, "Sorry Horatio. I love you like a big brother~! And I shouldn't be mean to my brother." She grinned at him.

He sighed in relief and laid back on the couch. Thank god all might. But now he seriously wandered where that idiot was.

(At that bar. Shirtless. Trying to calm down. xD)
Rowan skipped over to the fridge, opening the freezer half. She grabbed a Popsicle before going back over to Horatio, sitting on the opposite side. "You know, Daddy always does this.. Disappears like that. I guess it's the same for humans." -
He sighed again. "I guess... It's really irresponsible, but if you don't mind me asking...What other times has he done it?"

"Well, Mom said that after he was told to do something bad to me, he would always disappear.. He'd come back after a while, acting okay, but then.. I dunno. Every time he gets in trouble, hurt, or upset, he just kinda leaves." She shrugged, licking at the Popsicle.

"...Oh." He thought about it for a moment, then shrugged. He crossed his legs.

Rowan scrambled into his lap, staring up at him. "I'm getting hungry. Why don't we go look for him and get some food?"
