She blinked and got off him. "Sorry um..." she rubbed the back of her neck slightly. "I shouldn't have done that." She stood up. "I'm..." she shook her head. " ugh my head hurts...I'll be back, I need to take something." She walked off quickly to her bathroom, searching through her cabinet for something to stop her headache. She closed her eyes and sighed, rubbing them lightly.
-
He frowned, nodding as she got up and left. He quickly finished up the essay and waited patiently. "s---." He cursed to himself. "I'm an ass.." He looked over to where she headed off to and stood up to stretch.
-
She searched a little bit longer and found a few chewable pain tablets. She popped two into her mouth and downed them in a few minutes. She then splashed some water onto her face and looked up at the mirror and paled slightly. The ghost boy was staring back at her for a moment until he disappeared. She walked slowly out of the bathroom and shook her head.
-
I need to lighten up.. Norman stretched his arms and called out, "Hey, are you all right, Jane?" He sat back down and stare down at his essay as he waited for her response.
-
"Y-yeah...I'm fine Norman." She called back to him, slightly about his safety now that she saw the ghost boy in the mirror. "Um...hey I think it's getting late, maybe I could...take you back to your car so you can get home." She walked back out into the living room and glanced at him.
-
Norman frowned slightly and glanced down at his watch. "Well.. All right then." He agreed, hesitating at first. He gathered this things up and stuffed his iPod in his rear pocket.
-
She scooped up her keys and slided on her shoes. She then opened the door and stepped over the salt line near the door carefully, and then she walked down to her car. She didn't want him staying so he wouldn't get hurt right? Right and this was they only way. She unlocked her car and smiled at him.
-
He followed her, keeping an eye on her. He knew something was off. What's up with her? Was it something I said? He frowned at the thought and slowly got in without a word. Maybe I'm overreacting. She said it was late so.. That has to be the reason..
-
She got into the drivers side and started the car, glancing around and trying not to worry about the ghost boy she saw in the mirror nor the other things that could probably go wrong. She tapped her steering wheel lightly, she seemed nervous, really nervous, but she didn't want it to show.
-
Norman couldn't contain his silence much longer. He finally spoke, firmly. "Jane, what's wrong? You seem.. Off. Why? And don't say that it's nothing because I know its something." He finished, narrowing his eyes.
-
She swore lightly in her head and glanced at him, not taking her eyes off the rode. "N-nothing is wrong Norman, I just think it'd be better if you stayed at your place, actually I think I'd be best if you got a different tutor." She saw him narrow her eyes at him and it caused her to try and act calm, bit it probably wasn't working. She glanced back in the rearview mirror and panicked, he was in the back of the car. She screeched the car to a hault, stopping near Norman's house, some how she remembered his address from when the teacher explained to her to be his tutor. "Get out Norman. Now."
-
His face dropped and he sat there, speechless and confused. She was serious and she looked and sounded like she wanted to get rid of him right away. The thought made Norman feel a pang of hurt inside and he slowly opened the door, getting out. "I don't know if a new tutor will be a good idea." He mumbled, slamming the door as he let his mixed emotions get the best of him. With that, he started off.
-
She watched him go, for just a moment, then she turned back to the road, looking frustrated. She glanced back into the backseats and saw the boy was gone again, but she couldn't help that the feeling he was still watching was there. She got her car out of park and drove off, not wanting to deal with ghost or even actual people at the moment.
-
(ghost can't physically touch her right)
He glanced back to see her gone, and sighed. What's eating you up, Jane? As he fished for his keys to the front door, he noticed there wasn't no car parked and the lights were out from inside. Once again he was alone. "I'm always alone." He mumbled, entering. -
(Actually yeah they can.)
She kept driving, but something grabbed her wheel, causing the car to swerve on the road. She slammed on her breaks, but not before she sideswiped a tree. She breathed heavily and glanced around, panicking. Her car could probably get her home, but she didn't want another incident. She moved the car away and parked somewhere safe, then she got out of the car and started walking.
Rain started falling slowly until she got to Norman's place. "God...what did I do wrong..."
