She was in the center of her bed, hugging her knees to her chest. "It's...fine Orion."

"Are you alright?" he asked.

She sighed. "Yeah I'm fine Orion. Just peachy."

okay neither of us are understanding her right now soooo
He reached out and pulled her close. "You're lying. I don't know what peachy means, but you're lying about it." -
(eh she's just depressed because she thinks she screwed things up.)
She blushed lightly and shook her head. "I said I was fine Orion. Peachy means fine so I am." -
oh
"I'm pretty sure you're lying." He kissed the top of her head. -
Yup.
She blushed more and resisted the urge to pull away. She screwed things up with him because of last night. He probably was upset about her leaving because of a misunderstanding. -
"And I'm not sure why you're lying, but I hope it's not because of something I did." He tried to think of what might have caused it. "If it's because of last night, I want to try again sometime. I'm sorry about that."

"It wasn't you Orion...it was me. I-I shouldn't have walked away..." She looked down at the plain blankets on her bed. God she really didn't know how to handle this. Most of the guys her mother set her up with were scared off, but she was falling hard for a guy, who wasn't even her own species.

He shrugged. "I don't think it was either of us, really. Don't blame yourself."

She sighed and buried her face into her chest. "I guess you're right Orion."

He smiled. "You're not mad at me, right?"

She looked up at him and smiled. "Why and how could I be mad at you Ori?"

"Who knows? Humans are weird. Especially you." He kissed her nose.

She huffed. "I am sooo not weird!" She punched him lightly in the side. "You're just as weird as I am!"
