David sat in the garden on a bench. The sun shown through the trees hitting his back and neck. "David! David! I have splendid news for you!" Rang a familiar voice. His fathers. "Oh, you will be delighted." He sang speed walking to David. His short legs sped to him making David want to laugh, but he kept a straight face.
-
"Milady, what do you want for supper?" The newest maid, a young blonde by the name of Miri asked.
Aya smiled with mild amusement "Something light, I had a big lunch."
The maid's eyes widened. Ah, so she'd already heard the rumor.
Aya laughed, a light, sweet sound that just seemed to make the moment even more disturbing for the maid.
"You're excused." Aya smiled, watching the maid quickly turn and sprint down the hall. -
"What do you want, father?" David asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Ah, well, it's just..." The King trailed off smiling. "Oh, I just don't know exactly how to tell you, but," He paused "The Kingdom and I arranged a marriage between you and the fine princess of Kingdom Red." He seemed to sense David's confusion. "You see, young David, the-"
"I know how Kingdom's work, father. It's just you could have told me earlier." He felt the blood rushing to his cheeks.
His fathers whole face softened. "David, I'm sorry, but...this is how things need to be. You will soon be the ruler of a new Place." His voice had lost it's happy spark. -

(Aww, alright)
Aya lazily stood up, brushing the nonexistent creases out of her beautiful dress.
She smiled at her reflection.
"Unhealthy? Not me~ My diet is the healthiest." She giggled, then started down the hall. -
David got up quickly, and walked briskly to the nearest doors.
"Wait!" His father called, but David had shut the doors before he could hear the rest. A butler was soon at his heels following him to his massive bedroom.
"Sir Holloway, is there anything I can do for you?" The servant asked.
David sighed. "I know your not expert on love and marriages, but what can I do about my assigned one?" He asked.
The thin butler squared his shoulders. "I don't know my good sir, but just wish for the best...even though, well, I've heard this one little thing about the Princess of Kingdom Red." He frowned a bit. -
(I know your ooooooon.)

(Ohmygodyeshi)
She passed the dining hall, not wanting to see her uncle's face. She slipped out into the gardens, sighing.
"Well...I guess it could get worse. Being married can't be so bad." -
David stopped in his tracks, right across the weapons room. "Well George, what is it?" He asked.
"You see, sir Holloway, there is a rumor that Princess Aya, um, well." He sighed. "They say that she sold her soul to dine on the finest of meals. The devil mocked her by making that meal human flesh." The butlers voice was very low now.
David's eyes showed a glimmer of recognition. "Yes, yes, well we can't all believe everything we hear. Now go fetch me some weapons. Make sure you at least get a sword and sheath for me." -
"Milady? Miss Aya?" A voice called.
Aya scowled. She began walking farther into the garden. She didn't want them to bother questioning her about why she didn't attend dinner right now.
"Aya!" A stern voice called.
Oh great, Uncle's mad. -
David sat in his bedroom packing. It was probably best he didn't tell anyone about leaving. George was soon at the door knocking. "Dav-Sir Holloway, I have your things."
He got up and took them. Two daggers, one blade, and a sword and sheath. Good. "George, wait. Don't tell anyone about this. I will be back when I meet Princess Aya. Then I will go to live with her if I enjoy her presence." The butler nodded and walked down the long corridor. -
A few minutes later and their voices faded. They gave up too easily. She'd be questioned in the morning, but that didn't bother her.
She smiled, and sat down on the bench near the rose bushes. A pond shimmered close by with the light cast from fireflies. She watched them, boredly. -
The sunset was one of his favorite times of day, but he had to leave soon. He got on to the back of his white Clydesdale and rode off.
-
Aya soon heard a rustling in the bushes a ways off. She got up and walked toward it, curiosity getting the better of her.
