She sighed. "I don't know whether to believe you, but... get out. You smell like smoke." Morgan sat on the bed and pulled a phone out of her suitcase. She dialed the only number on it, spare the one for the best pizza place in the world, and waited for one of the angels to pick up.

She stood stubbornly and looked around. "Only when I'm proven right." She said simply and sat down in the window seal.

"You're making me sick. Get ou-Yes, hello, Morgan Cross here. I need to talk to someone about my current... case."

Vivian smirked and watched her. She started to asses the angel and tried to see weaknesses.

"There's a demon here... she's claiming she's my partner... Wait what? You can't be serious. Oh, you're serious. But... Alright, fine. Bye." She hung up and tossed the phone on the bed. Morgan glared at the demon. "f--- you."

Vivian winked. "When an where? I can swing both ways." She twisted and tossed her legs out the window.

"Not literally," she grumbled, "but stay. No smoking in my room."

She leaned back, half out and half in. She inspected her from her upside down view. "Stay? Thought you can't even stand me." She huffed but started to pull herself back in.

"I guess we are partners, so I guess we need to work together. "Where are you staying?" The exhaustion and annoyance in Morgan's voice was thick.

"Here." She smiled and closed the window. Pulling off her black jacket and throwing it on the back of the chair she then kicked her boots off and plopped down on the other bed.

"Why?" Morgan pulled herself up fully onto her own bed and flopped down.

"Because why not?" Stretches out and looks at the ceiling. With her own thoughts the shadows from the corner of the rooms pooled into the center of the ceiling and slowly started to swirl into shapes.

"Because you're a stranger, I don't trust you, and this is my room. I don't know who you are." She looked over at the demon.

"Vivian. Vivian Lock." Shrugs and turns the shapes into a lion attacking a shadow zebra.

She watched the ceiling. "Morgan Cross. Are demons ever human?"
