Well shoot. *thinks* how about this. It's from a book I've read.
A girl lost her family in a car wreak and is seeing spirit like zombies everywhere, and she thought her dad was kidding about them being real. She moves to a new school and lives with her grandparents. But when she starts to get attached to one of the popular bad boys at her school the zombies start to come after her.
We can roll off that. -

Idea 1:
A girl gets moves to a new town so she can attend a boarding school called 'Righting wrongs: School For Troubled Teens'. She was sent there for murdering her family, although she doesn't remember the incident clearly. She barely steps onto the school grounds when strange things start to happen, the strangest being the fact that all her possessions are gone and replaced by strange new ones. She later becomes close friends with two students, one seeming like a nice guy, almost angelic, the other being more like the demonic bad boy. Her world gets turned upside down, no good and evil just the gray in between, blah blah blah

Idea 2:
A girl starts going to a new school in a new town, only living with one parent since the other died. She attends a new school and is attracted to the bad boy, one that regularly ditches, hangs out in clubs, etc. When she asked about him, no one knew who she was talking about. Who is this boy and why can't anyone else see him? When there are murders in town, who will she side with? The boy who seems like a spirit, or her new 'friends'? The more secrets she uncovers the more people die and in more gruesome ways. And what's this talk about a curse? -
I like number one. Also number two seems fun.
