  in japan, criminals known as the itsuwaribito roam in the shadows, killing those of good nature. a itsuwaribito is a being that lies for either self gain, helping others, or pure fun. an itsuwaribito (C1) meets another itsuwaribito (C2) on a mission to kill the village leader. but, instead of fighting eachother to the death to claim who gets the kill, they look into eachothers eyes and realize they were meant for eachother. meanwhile, a large village is holding a meeting inside the emporers castle. a top-secret organization called the orwataziko is on the verg of killing each and every itsuwaribito.
  
  this takes place in old japan, before electricity.
