Gracie slowly took a box, finding a fork and opening it. It was noodles. Content, she began to eat, petting the cat every so often.
-
"What to do with you.." He sighed and let his eyes wonder around the room. "The elders will have my ass for doing this." He rubbed his face with both hands.
-
Gracie finished chewing before she raised an eye. "For helping an innocent little girl?" She rolled her eyes. She went to put the box down when it teetered over the edge. She gasped, attempting to get it. The box and the noddles that were about to hit the floor froze in mid air. Gracie let out a squeak.
-
Lennen sighed as the box fixed itself back onto the table. He stood up and draped his coat over the back of the chair. Faint scars lined ever so often on his arms. "For saving one who likes to run her mouth." He mused.
-
Gracie scowled. "That was only because I got kidnapped from my bed. And I want that-" Her hand glowed a bright blue as she reached out for the noodles, and they disappeared off the table and reappeared in her hand. She stared at her hand.
-
Lennen blinked. "Do it again." He said commandingly as he sat back down, this time straddling the chair. He wrapped his arms around the back of the chair and watched her. "I thought you were human.." He said narrowing his eyes.
-
Graciella stared down at it. She set it back down. Once again, her hand glowed, and the box appeared in her hand. This time, she dropped it, but her hand glowed a faint green, and it froze. Upon freezing, it reappeared back on the able. "I thought I was human, too.."
-
Lennen brought his down onto the chair with a soft thud. "This makes everything more fun." He sighed and stood up walking over to her. He abrubtly poked her arm. "But you don't have any markings that make you one." He said frowning. "Every Mage or wizard has a marking making them one." He gestured towards his cat eyes.
-
Gracie shrugged. "Um, I dunno.. I have red eyes?" She offered, gesturing to her own. They were the color of blood at the moment, one of the only things standing out about her. "My Dad has red eyes, but my mom and I have the same pale skin, brown hair, and we weigh less than most people."
(Gtg to school, see you later~) -
Toodles.)
He sighed and shrugged now pacing the kitchen. "Maybe.. But I wouldn't know unless I met your parents." He ran a hand through his hair making it stand up before he sat down at the table once more and grabbed a box of chicken. He started to eat as he thought. "But it might just work.. You could help me.. Na, I'll just take you home." -
Gracie perked up at the sound of the word help. She wasn't selfish, and she did enjoy extra work. "Help you with what? Is it something I can help with~?"
-
"Can you help kill or bring in a big Mage who traffics humans?" Tilts head slightly and looks at her. "But I, am taking you home. I don't want you to get in trouble." Frowns noticing his food is gone.
-
"Yeah. I bet I could. With a bit of fighting face to fist." Gracie paused, feeling offended. "I don't want to go home. Home is where I have homework, and stress. It's a lot better here."
-
Lennen raised an eyebrow. "You think it's better here huh? Acctually, I wish I could go home. But my house is in ashes mixed in with my parents bones." He said thoughtfully. "This isn't a game." He said before walking away and going to his study room.
-
Gracie shrugged, looking away. She couldn't imagine a life without her parents, but here it was, and she enjoyed it. She knew it wasn't a game; No, it was more like a challenge. A puzzle. A big puzzle she planned to solve.
