"Okay. I'm listening, Jaxon. And I'll try to make my heart understanding. Tell me everything." Lara turned, crossing her arms.
Somewhere Flight heard the buzz of lights being activated, and then brightness slammed her full in the face. Raising her arm to fend off the blinding light, she tried to stand. Something stopped her. Looking down, she realized a tight strap was around her waist, securing her to the floor. It was just slack enough for her to curl up, but there was no way she slip out of it. She couldn't stand up or even move to a sitting position. -
Jaxon took a deep breath and told her everything Flight had told him. Her reasining, their fight, all of it. He felt better when he finished.
-
Lara just stared at him for a moment and then sighed. "I...I guess I get it." She said.
"Flight Raee." A voice cracked into her ears, and Flight stiffened. No one hasd used her last name in years. She'd almost forgotten it herself. She looked around slowly. There was someone behind her speaking, but she couldn't position herself so she could see him. What she could see was a that she was inside a small white room with two chairs on either side of her. -
Jaxon was slowly feeling his body again. "Help me.. Help me explain to my pack and get her back. Please.. Mom." He said quietly and really meant it.
-
Lara looked down at him. "I trust your judgement, Jaxon. I'll help you as much as possible." She said quietly.
After a minute of silence, Flight realized she was supposed to respond. "Yes?" She asked. Her voice sounded shaky and small even to her ears.
"The restraint shall be undone. Please understand we will simply knock you out if you attempt an attack."
Flight swallowed. "I-I understand." -
Jaxon used the wall and shakily rose to his feet. "Thank you." He said quietly and looked her dead in the eyes.
-
Lara looked back steadily. "Ready?"
Gloved hands wrapped around her waist and unbuckled the strap somehow--she didn't quite catch it. And then the hand was on her arm, pulling her up. She jerked it back, standing on her own and facing her captor. -
Jaxon nodded and started walking, his legs buckling slightly every now and then until he could stand up straight.
-
Lara slipped an arm under his to support him, slowly walking towards the door.
"Sit." The man commanded, looking at her with icy blue eyes. With a small shudder, Flight did as he said.
"Do you know why you're here?"
Flight nodded, but he continued on as if he didn't see her.
"You're here for the murder of hundreds of people inside an orphanage. Do you deny it?"
Flight stared at the floor and shook her head slowly.
"Please speak out loud."
"No, I don't deny it." She said. -
Jaxon sped up once once he would an walked into a room fully of anxiouse werewolves. All eyes went to him and you could see the fear, anger, and betrail in them. Jaxon pulled away from his mother an met each and every wolve eye.
-
(Psst. Sis. Do you have skype?)
-
Lara stayed at his side, slightly behind him, watching him. The way he walked in--it was so obvious why he'd become Alpha.
"We're going to have to go through your memories to ensure the fact you are the actual murderer. We cannot secure a proper trial for various reasons." The man said coolly.
Flight's eyes widened. "No! I did it, I swear!" She did not want them to see her memories. How deep would they probe?
He narrowed his own eyes. "The fact you are so blatantly admitting it could be a sign that you're covering for someone else. A memory search is necessary. Please relax." He stood and, in a quick movement, had fastened a bracelet to her wrist. "It will activate in a moment." -
Jaxon took a deep breath before telling the story. He didn't spare anything from his pack mates and saw their faces change from horror to anger and slowly to acceptance. "This is why.. I love her." When Jaxon said those words all faces looked up in complet surprise.
-
Lara smiled softly as she saw their emotions slowly change, and she waited for his next words.
Flight grabbed at the bracelet before everything went black and a horrible pain exploded in her temples. She felt her body tense as she relived memories that sped past her as she watched them. -
"Now.. I'm going to save her. And you can be with me or you don't. I'm not going to judge you but you owe me that much." He looked at them, letting his emotions fully play on his face. Slowly they started to stand, smiles playing on their faces. "Thank you." He grinned and raised his fist into the air, the others followed.
