He held onto her hand tightly. "Red when I tell you to jump, were gonna jump into the river." The river started to come up quickly, it was a long drop.

She held onto his hand tightly, "What? James that's crazy".

Kain looked at her. "Trust me Red." They finally got to the edge. "okay. Were going to jump no..?!" The ground under him crumbled and he started to fall in pulling her along with him. He pulled her into his chest and hugged her close as they hit the water. The men of course saw the splash and cursed loudly.

She slammed hard into the water and clutched tightly to his shirt, Aria was never the kind of girl to love water. She kicked her legs trying to swim to the surface.

He helped her get to the surface and gasped for air. He coughed as the water floated them down stream. He kicked against the current and grabbed onto a low tree branch. He held onto her tightly and pulled them both out of the raging water. He sighed and coughed loudly. He glanced around. "There is a cave near by. We can go there."

She held her stomach as she coughed out water, "Alright", she said as she crawled onto her knees and pulled off the red cloak, it was rather heavy when wet and would only slow her down, she'll just carry it until it dries.

He picked her up bridal style. "No walking or crawling...you're hurt in a lot of places..." He glanced at all the cuts on her. They weren't bad, not fatal to say the least. He carried her to the cave. It looked abandoned for a long while. He sat her down and went out, gathering wood. Soon he had a large pile and he set it on fire. He shook like a dog. "there...we'll be warm in no time."

She set down her cloak near the fire, not too close so it won't catch on fire, just close enough so it might dry faster. She checked her pouch and groaned as she felt nothing. Great, she lost the dagger.
"Should I go and look for food?". -
He shook his head. "I'll go look. You're hurt...don't need you getting hurt more..." He sat next her her and looked at her arm, it was a bit of a long cut, but it would be gone soon. He licked it gently.
(healing saliva people! Gotta love it! ;D) -
She blushed deeply, a small smile formed on her face, she was never used to many caring about her well-being so much, her family just used her. Come home with a broken leg? They don't care. And here was James, and she had the tiniest cuts, yet he worried so. "Thank you".
(Totally ;D and hi, sorry haven't been here in a while) -
He smiled and licked her cheek to get rid of the cut there. "You're welcome." He nuzzled her neck.
(*snorts* I know~ it's okay! :D i was extremely sick yesterday!) -
She purred happily and nuzzled his cheek, her smile broadened, "Really, it means a lot to me".
(Oh dear, how sick?) -
He chuckled lightly and cuddled her. "Why is that Red?"
(really sick. I was throwing up and everything.) -
She snuggled back and purred happily, "Cause not many people care this much about me.."

He blinked and tilted at her. "That's bad...people should care about you more." He kissed her cheek. "You deserve it." He smiled at her and his tail wagged a bit.
