The pup snapped it up happily and laid down next to her clearly choosing her for the moment. Zayn chuckled "Maybe. He's a big baby." He said with a smile.

She poked the dog's side with her toe. "What breed is he?" She asked, taking another bite of meatloaf.

"Mix of lab and German Shepard so he's going to be huge." Points at his big paws witch seemed huge to the rest of his body. Jax licked her toes. "He's a really good dog." His plate was gone and he got up to wash it.

She chuckled. "That's a good mix." She finished up quickly, scraping every bite off, and then followed him into the kitchen and waited for him to finish at the sink.

He took her plate from her and turns back to the sink and washes her plate too. "Go grab some blankets from my room." He said without turning around. "Jax, go get the covers." The puppy took off to Zayn's room and started to tug his blanket of he bed.

She followed the puppy and laughed as he tugged in the covets. Grabbing a couple blankets lying on the bed, she stopped on her way to the door. It was strange how comfortable she was around Zayn. She suddenly realized she even trusted him. With a little shake of her head, she patted her leg. "C'mon, Jax." She said and walked back towards the kitchen, laden with blankets.

The puppy followed her happily tugging along an old yellow blanket. Zayn was curled up in the couch with his legs spread out before him. He yawned and clicked on the movie The Anchorman. His favorite. Jax lept ontop of his lap causes him to wince in pain. "Come on buddy.. I want kids one day." He huffed and the puppy curled on hi lap and pulle the blanket ontop of himself.

She laughed and threw another blanket at him, using the last one herself. "Never seen this one." She remarked, pulling the blanket around her.

He grinned and pushed play. He also had a bowl of popcorn between them. "My favorite movie. Well one of them." He mused happily.

She grabbed a handful of popcorn, watching the TV as the movie started and staying silent.

Every now and then he would sneak a quick glance at her and silently wished to pull her closer but he didn't move from his spot.

She saw his quick glances but didn't say anything, reaching over to grab another handful of popcorn, she snuggled into her blanket.

Jax soon fell asleep and Zayn careful placed him on the floor an then pulled his legs up and stretched his arms out on the back of the couch. His fingers mere inches from her.

She was aware of his hand, his fingers. Ever-so-gently she scooted closer to him so his arm was behind her. Her eyes never left the screen.

A smile played on his lips and he tugged her over to him so she would be curled giants his side. He laid his head against hers before relaxing completly.
