IHLAOY Newbie(No, no, by all means, lets just hand wave away the entire dungeon. It's not like I was looking forward to any potentially sweet and/or heartwarming moments we might have had in it.)
"Come on, dork, I don't have all day! I need to stand in front of Mr No Fairy and point my finger at him."
Rhasta bit his bottom lip to stop himself from lashing out, raising his batons into the air. The wooden visage of a giant hand holding an orb adorned the top of each as Rhasta moved closer to his volunteer. "Ah, but one cannot rush magic, young Mido."
"Just do it, dork."
Straightening himself, Rhasta raised his sticks to the air, "Hmmph. Very well," he said, flicking his wrists towards Mido, "Do you feel it, young Kokiri? A dormant power stirs within you. A soul of great power and ambition."
Mido scoffed, "Of course."
"The soul of...of a hero! But he is sleeping. Resting deep within your mind. You've always known he was there, young Mido, haven't you? Ah, I can see it in your eyes, I am correct. Let us try to bring him forth for the crowd, shall we Mido?"
Licking his lips as a magic power danced on the tips of Rhasta's sticks, "Now is the place and here is the time, let us reveal...your true form!" Rhasta shouted, lightning jumping directly into Mido's head.
When the smoke cleared, Mido was gone. All that was left behind was a rather confused chicken.
The laughter was strong enough to scare away the worms of magic. Taking a bow, Rhasta grinned widely, "Do not worry, Kokiri, Mido will be fine in the morning. Just be sure to keep him away from any angry wolves. That's all for tonight!" Rhasta shouted, throwing Mido overhead into the crowd and letting the curtains fall around him.
The shows never got easier, but he always enjoyed knocking people down a peg or two. -
(I just thought it would take too long. Sorry.)
Laying in bed, I hear laughter outside. I look out a window and see a crowd of other Kokiri kids, holding what seems to be a chicken. I smile and laugh, then lay back down in bed, wondering about what's to come..
The next morning, I awake with newfound courage. I strap the Kokiri sword and Deku shield to my back, then head out. Running across the bridge connecting the forest to Hyrule, I hear slow footsteps behind me. I stop and turn around to face my friend Saria, looking sad. "You're leaving here, aren't you?" She asks, and I nod, solemnly. She looks to her feet, then back at me. "I want to give you this. This is a special Ocarina, I made it myself. Please, keep it with you. When you play it, please think of us and come back to visit.." She trails off. I take the Ocarina and pull her into a hug. "I will, I promise." She smiles, knowing I keep my promises. I then leave, both of us waving to each other. -
IHLAOY Newbie(Nah, all good.)
The muddy forest ground sunk slightly into the earth as Rhasta pulled himself onto his caravan. In front of him sat his companion; a tired looking horse that had eyes that hid more than their owners. All of his possessions were packed together behind him, piled to the sun in height.
With a joyful wave, Rhasta bid farewell to the kokiri. It had been a great time, and he loathed to move on so quickly, but the shades had been clear. Despite their hospitality, Rhasta's skills could be put to better use elsewhere.
"No hard feelings, Mido?" He asked as his carriage was pulled past the kokiri's house. There was no response from inside. Rhasta simply chuckled to himself. The ground changed suddenly as Rhasta drove across a bridge, and he caught a glimpse of a kokiri out of the corner of his eye. How odd for her to be so far away from the village.
Pulling into the sun, Rhasta basked in its glow for a moment, before opening his eyes to the world. The first thing he noticed was a lone kokiri standing in the path, looking saddened and confused. Smiling smugly, Rhasta pulled up next to him, "A long way from home, are we not; yet barely a step out the door. The heart is a powerful tool, but I know it will never reveal it's mysteries to me. Do you want a ride, young one? I feel we are heading in the same direction." -
I have to get to Hyrule Castle, but I really don't know the way.. I say in my head.
I look up as I hear a man speak to me, his words true. "I have to get to Hyrule Castle. Are you going that way?" I ask. -
(You on?)

(Bump.)

IHLAOY Novice"Yes. You had best come with me, youngling. The path to the castle is dangerous; full of Stalfos and Peahats. It is dangerous to go alone, and I feel there is much more we could accomplish together. By the shades." Rhasta replied, shuffling sideways on his perch and motioning for Link to climb aboard. His horse gave an unhappy grunt at having to carry more weight, but Rhasta ignored him. His friend had carried much heavier loads in the past.
"But tell me your name, youngling, and why it's so important that you must reach the castle. The summer sun festival is nearing its end, and all the gullible people will have left. What need would the castle need of a boy such as yourself?" -
(I found it, finally. Bookmarking this... now.)
I climb up next to the man and speak. "My name is Link. The Great Deku Tree instructed me to see the Princess at the castle, and told me that I must go on an adventure to save Hyrule. I've never been outside, though." -
