He groaned lightly and went to squeeze them again when he heard a branch crack to his left. He perked up and looked around. "Linn...get back into the tent now." He swam out of the pond and slipped his pants on. He sniffed the air, it smelled like the one animal he hated. -
(*giggles* we're just protecting them from throwing their lives away by having kids early!)
She swam quickly out the pond and sat on the wet grass, instead of obeying his orders she shifted into her cat form. Her fur was rather bright against the dark night, she sniffed the air and didn't recognise the scent...it wasn't one of the men. -
(True~now it's bandersnatch time!!)
A big grey blob shot out from the forest and slammed into James. He gasped and coughed up blood, soon digging his feet into the ground to stop the beast. The beast was as big as a full grown bear, covered in grey and black fur, glowing yellow eyes, and a mouth full of teeth. It's lower half was shorter than it's upper body, but it didn't seem to mind. James growled at it and wolf/fox ears appeared on his head, a long tail appeared on him as well. His top canines elongated. -
She growled, her claws sprung out from her paws and dug into the ground. Linn pounced into the air and jumped onto the back of the beast, she clawed at his eyes, trying to distract him.

The beast roared and threw Linn off against a tree. He turned back to James and charged again. James was furious now, the beast hurt his princess...wait his? He shook his head and changed into a fox wolf hybrid quickly. He got under the beast and bit into it's throat, cutting off it's airway quickly. The beast struggled for a moment, then stopped moving. He turned his head and snapped the beast neck for good measure. He changed back and was covered in claw marks on his chest and a bit on his back.

She hit the tree hard and rolled onto the ground, Linn let out a sigh of relief as she heard the beast's breathing stop, though that sigh held a bit of saddness too...she really hated death. She stood up and stretched, examining her wounds...just a little bruise on the head. She walked to James and frowned at his wounds, Cat Linn licked at one of the claw marks.

He flinched lightly and pushed her head away gently. "Linn...don't..." He fall to the ground unconscious. He was bleeding too much.

She frowned and quickly shifted into her human form, she bent down next to him and paled as she took in all the blood he was losing, he was loosing it all too fast. Linn took his shirt off of him and began to tear the fabric into strips to make bandages, she sighed, "If you die on me I'm gonna kill you".

He flinched and chuckled lightly. "I'd already be dead, how would you kill me again..?" He coughed up blood and sighed. "Damn it..." He sat up a bit and winced. "Get the med kit from the tent..."

She stood up, "I'd find a way to kill you in the afterlife", she ran quickly to the tent and came back with the kit, she looked at his wounds, asessing the damage trying to decide what might be best, "I think you need stiches".

He groaned. "I hate stitches kitten. Don't give me stitches..." He saw a wound on her cheek and he leaned forward, he licked the cut on her cheek.

She winced lightly and sighed, "I have to Fox...I"ll be gentle, m'kay?", she ruffled through the kit and took out the needle and thread.

He smiled lightly. "Well as long as I have a cute nurse like you in front of me...maybe they won't be so back." He saw another wound near her collarbone, but he'd get it later. The wound on her cheek was already healing.

She blushed deeply, "Shush", she threaded the needle and gently began to stitch. She had quite a bit of practice with this so she was rather fast, she used to stitch her own wounds.

He smiled more and relaxed. He hated stitches so much...and he didn't like needles but he would never admit that.
