"Its fine really.I was stuck with my crew for months, whiny bunch they were, and they didnt bother me." He shrugged.

She nodded. "I'm glad you're here then. I don't talk to anybody else."

He smiled and heard something move in the brush. it sounded big.

"What...was that?" She whispered, moving closer to him while looking around.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her behind a tree. A brown bear staggered through the brush and sniffed the air. "Stay perfectly quiet." He whispered to her quietly.

She nodded, amazed at the sight. All these years she's been here, she never saw such a large animal. A bear.

He glanced at the bear and saw it was eating berries off a shrub. Edward looked back and smiled lightly at her.

At the same time, Jolene wanted to touch the bear but then again what harm can it do if she did? She never seen one. Jolene, smiled back and took a step away feom the tree.

He held onto her wrist. "Be careful Jolene. Bears can be dangerous." He looked at her with worry. the bear looked up and snorted.

Her eyes were glued on the bear. "Okay." She muttered, slowly taking another step.

He let go of her wrist slowly. The bear looked at them both and growled lowly.

She quietly took another step, then another. "Shhh." She commanded, as if the bear could understand.

The bear growled again but louder, standing up on its hind legs. Edward watched carefully.

She stretched out a hand, slowly, eyes still locked on the bear. Her heart pounded as the growls becmae louder. Frightening. Just one touch, Mr. Bear..

The bear roared and tried to swipe at her. "Jolene!" He got infront of them both and grabbed the bears paw quickly.
