It is a bad thing to have a society full of adults who believe in fairy tales. I can't even believe I have to tell you people this. It is obvious that it is a bad thing to have a society filled with adults who believe in fairy tales. But apparently, it's not obvious to everybody, because every single day I get people saying to me, "Why are you an aggressive atheist?" "Why do you even care what people believe?" I care, because it affects me. Du-fuckin-ra! I live in a society where 8 out of 10 people believe in fucking fairy tales and it affects my life.
Could you imagine, what a society where 8 out of every 10 people believe in fairy tales like they're true would be like? It would be a society where we have trillions of dollars to spend on our war machine, yet we close down our children's schools for lack of funding. It would be a society where we have millions and millions of empty houses and yet we won't let anybody live in them because "they can't afford it". Because "they're not worthy of living in those houses." We hate our fellow human beings so much that we would rather these houses be empty, than let people live in them who can't afford it.
This is what a Christian nation brings you. How fuccked up can you get? And these are only a few minor examples of a very very long list of fuccked up things this Christian society has brought us. So yeah, it affects me. And I decided I'm going to do something about it.
I'm going to speak up. It is a bad thing for grown-ups to believe in fairy tales and use these fairy tales as the basis for all their life decisions. Duh! What the fuck is wrong with you people? It's obvious what the real cause of the problem is. You go ask any Christian if they're a Christian first, or an American first, and so far, every single one I've ever asked has said they're a Christian first.
Christianity is the foundation that they base all their life decisions on. They're taught from childhood to believe in fairy tales as if these fairy tales were reality. And when you program somebodies mind to believe in fairy tales as if they're reality, it is very easy to teach them new fairy tales and get them to believe in those fairy tales as if they're reality.
You know? Fairy tales, like patriotism and consumerism? And celebrity worship and politics? Christianity is like the gateway drug of fairy tales. Once they've got you hooked on one fairy tale, they can get you hooked on all kinds of fairy tale bullshit.
And I've tried everything I can to reach Christians. I've tried to present the evidence; have a reasoned logical debate with them. But what I've found out is that you cannot have a reasonable logical debate with somebody who did not use reason or logic to begin believing in what they believe in to begin with. It's simply impossible.
In fact, Christians are specifically taught that faith is something to be respected. That believing in things without evidence is a feature to be admired. They actually take pride in their ignorance! There's no debating people like this.
So instead, I've moved to the only method I've found that works. Mocking. Mocking is what actually worked with me. I was a Christian for over 15 years and I believed it whole-heartedly. I can clearly remember thinking that nothing will ever make me stop being a Christian, ever. No matter what it was. Which really is the very definition of close mindedness. But I can remember thinking it. I thought I would die a Christian.
But then people started mocking me for it. People started mocking me for being almost an adult and still believing in fairy tales, and I did not like it. The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off. I went out there and I tried to prove those mother fuckers who made fun of me wrong. I wanted to research evidence for myself to see what was.
I thought nothing would ever make me stop believing, but I was wrong. The more I went out and researched it; the more I researched what the bible actually says, and who wrote the bible, and how the bible was assembled, and the historicity of Jesus, and the obvious superiority of the scientific method. Eventually I was crushed underneath the weight of the evidence. It's as simple as that.
Education kills faith dead. It's like bug spray for Christianity. The more you know, the less you believe.
So look, I don't want you Christians to believe a word I say. Not one word of it. I simply want to anger you enough, to where you want to go out and prove me wrong. And if you go out and research it enough; eventually, just like every former Christian before you has done this, you will eventually be crushed under the weight of the evidence. You will begin to understand that Christianity is just a cult. A cult full of adults who believe in silly superstitious fairy tales like they were true.
Don't take my word for it. Go look yourself, you lazy, simple minded, fuck-tards. You don't have to be a gullible idiot any longer. You can be part of the solution, instead of part of the problem. And that is why I'm an aggressive atheist. Because I want to be part of the solution. I care enough about the society I live in to want to change it for the better. And I believe the best way to change the society or the better is to get grown-ass adults who believe in fairy tales, to stop fucking believing in fairy tales. It is a very important first step in repairing our obviously damaged society.
For those who read all the way through, I am Orkimedes; reminding you that the opinions of fairy tale believing adults should not be respected. Respect must be earned. Otherwise, it's completely meaningless.
Thank you. -
Amen bro!

I hope this can change their opinion. But man, when someone pretends to be asleep, you can never wake him up.

It's simply that these "faery tales" don't match with the laws of science as we know them.
I've actually gone out and and looked at evidence and it simply backs it up. You were simply to weak of mind to stay christian. -
I'm not atheist or Christian but I wouldn't say I believe in a fairy tale. Really just a natural order of things, and that "death" is a new beginning, that life is kind of a circle. If that's what it's called, I'm not really sure how to describe it.

"You were simply to weak of mind to stay christian."
Is now wondering if this idjit read all the way through. e_e -
@Orkimedes, I respect your attempt to try and change my opinion, I really do. But since you were honest with me, I am going to be honest with you:
A bunch of Christians have probably already looked at this. They read maybe the first paragraph and then left because they were afraid of being offended. As for me, I read all the way through...and now I am going to be honest again. If any of them ACTUALLY read all the way through, they probably clicked right out of this thread; notice how no Christians have commented.
But I totally believe you when you say: "So instead, I've moved to the only method I've found that works. Mocking. Mocking is what actually worked with me." Mocking does in fact work. But that's what everyone is afraid of-so they CHOSE not to read very far into this. -
DarkestKiss NoviceI do not have a religion, but I used to be Christian. Now, I do keep up with what the Catholic Church believes because that's the religion I used to be. The Catholic Church doesn't defile or deny science, it simply stays out of it. You're allowed to believe in whatever science says.

I read it all and imma christian..
-
^^^I didnt know...XD Good for you though. Most people wouldnt read it.
-
Emma, I wasnt saying that. I was saying that most Christians are going to be too afraid to read this. They will just be like, "Oh, im not reading this because its going to offend me."
I never said it wasnt ok for him to come in here and try to change my opinion. Im just saying that all the Christians are going to be idiots about it and not read it. -
Cami has a point. People need to read this thoroughly and answer intelligently if they want to get a point across.
So do you, Emma. Almost everyone has double standards, no matter what side they're on. -
People need to be offended sometimes if you ask me.

*nods in agreement* It does build character and enforce thought.
