and every time I try to read it (I read various religious texts occasionally), it opens to page 666. It's not a crease in the page, either, because ever since I can remember reading Bibles they always opened to page 666. From what I gather, other people's Bibles would also open to page 666 when I walked into the room (back when I went to church). Why is this? Do they intentionally put a fold in the spines or something to freak us out?

No. I've never opened a Bible to the page of 666. I do open it to the Book of Revelation a lot though, which is where it is stated that 666 is the devil's number. However, there many different interpretations of Revelation, some of which state that the book was written to make fun of the Babylonian emperor whose name literally translates to 666, but seeing as to how not everything has happened yet, some say that translation is ludicrous or incomplete. Since there is a lot of symbolic meaning in Revelation, there is no definite interpretation that Church uses, although most accept that it points to the future.
