Believe what you trust.

@Bob- That's the problem. I don't know what to trust.
I'm beginning to lose faith in Christianity ever so slowly these days. My second cat this year died, my grandma's in hospital near possible death and no matter how hard I pray, nothing happens! A lot of s--- has been happening, and I pray. God doesn't answer, and the bad things keep continuing.
But if I turn atheist, this will sound really p---- of me, but I'm scared to go to hell if all Christianity is true.
:/ -
If you're going to hell, so am I. I used to be Christian, but now I follow my own "religion." If you could call it that. It's really just a simplified version of religion with some nonpersonified forces of everythingness, some thermodynamics and spacey crap, and heck maybe reincarnation. In short, I don't know what I believe so I have this clusterf--- of stuff. But it's not Chritianity.

Pascal's wager.
Pascal was a French mathematician and religious philosopher. His most noted work is what is known as 'Pascal's wager'. It goes as follows:
-If you believe in God and you're right, you go to heaven.
-If you believe in God and you're wrong, you lose nothing.
-If you do not believe in God and you're right, you lose nothing.
-But if you do not believe in God and you're wrong, it's an eternity in hell.
This idea to put in layman's terms simply says, better safe than sorry.
But there are a number of flaws with this ideology. This gives the idea that God rewards faith and not actions.
Also, if you fear hell for not believing in one God, why do you not fear the hell of every other religion you don't have faith in? Aren't their God's just as potent and harmful as the Christian one?
