people think Christianity is snobby, or snooty, and doesnt see other people's views.
That's very untrue.
It's not, you've had the misfortune of meeting some Christians who are very strict than others or hotheaded. or you've heard Christians are like that.
We are not trying to force you to be a Christian, it's your own choice noone can do it, those who try don't understand
We see your views and we do think they're wrong, but again it's your decision
When you argue about God, some of us just feel as if we need to put our own word out there, and it gets emotional, but that's because we are passionate about God
Jesus is the only way to heaven, that's true, if you think it's wrong that your view. And those who wonder what about those people who have never heard of Jesus. Honestly we dont even know how
he chooses, all i know it's your heart that determines it.
If it looks like we are suffocating you, Sorry but that's not our intention at all, though i admit some miss the point not to force opinions on people. We are actually nice people. And though our origin isnt a good one because the people were clouded, they were also persecuted for our belief, death, hanged, burned. If we caused discomfort sorry -
2,000 years of anger, hatred, bloodshed, poison, corruption, and ignorance state otherwise. I won't trust you on any of this because you are the type of person that the hateful ones hide behind. Until there is no religion, there will always be people twisting it to do wrong.
-
Likeaboss Novice/: Bob... She really is sorry. She didn't harm you, so why should she get so much hatred? /: I'm saying this nicely, not trying to begin world war lll. Please tell me why she deserves to be mistreated for others actions?
-
As a wake up call. She may not be personally to blame for all the wrong doings of religion, but I have always made it clear that the way I act is directly correlated with the way I am treated. It is an attempt to let her and all others who see this understand exactly what it feels like to be on the raw side of anger and bigotry.
She may not be one of those type of christians, but she does associate and affiliate with them. She's the type of person who they hide behind when the rest of the world is tired of them. And because of that, she is making herself one of them.
If you ever want to see what a person is like, look at who they affiliate with.

Likeaboss NoviceI'm not going to argue with you, but I will explain a Christain side in this:
You come in and say that because we have something in common with somebody bad, that makes us bad. That's like saying since my favorite color is purple, I'm worthy of being in prison because someone in prison likes the color purple.
Not all Christains are so horrible. I'm not racist. I can't stand wars. I don't tell people they wont go to heaven for not believing. Etc. Etc. Yes, I am a Christain, but no, I don't let ones who have done wrong hide like a coward behind me. I make them admit they were wrong.
Yes, I do understand that athiest do get hate, and lots of it! But look around- So do Christains.
Don't hate me because I'm saying this. Don't get mad. I'm just explaining how I see this.
I understand your point of view, now try and understand mine. If you do, you'll see that we are very disrespected for having beleifs.
Now I know that you're athiest... So is my BEST FRIEND! She doesn't believe in God, and I understand her view, I just don't have the same one.
Please, I do ask nicely, could you please please please only show such hatred to those who deserve it, not the ones asking for forgiveness.
Thanks for reading. It came straight from my heart and now I am literally crying because of it. Just respect the ones that show you respect, that is all I ask. -
That's a terrible analogy. It's more like if your best friend is convincing someone else to murder people, then I should be cautious of you.
And you're right, I do disrespect you for having beliefs. Because those beliefs teach you to be happy with not learning things for yourself. They teach you to say God did it and to not look beyond that. That is why I don't respect theology.
Further more, I do sympathize with you getting emotional. Believe me, I really do. And I also am thankful that you're at least listening to what I have to say. But emotions or not, I will not respect willful ignorance.
All I ask for is finite proof. Something concrete and reliable that isn't a misconception, and cannot be shot down with a little research. So far, no theist has ever been able to do that.
The fact is that I want you to get angry with me. I want you to feel embarrassed by what I say and I want you to want to prove me wrong. Because when you try to find that finite proof, that concrete and reliable evidence, you will see exactly what I saw when I tried. You will be overwhelmed with the documented and scientific proof against everything you believe in. And it wont be coming from the posts of a person. There wont be plea-ing with it or trying to ignore it. It will be there for you and there wont be anything you can do about it.
Even if you try and ignore the evidence, what you will have seen cannot be unseen. And you will have done, exactly what I did.
You would have done your own research. -
Likeaboss NoviceIt's called beliefs hecause we don't have concrete proof :P
-
Well we do. So excuse me if I'm not seeing the point here.
-
Likeaboss NoviceI'm just saying. Belief is when you don't have proof but you do believe it exist. And you're belief is that he doesnt exist. Again, you have no proof. There was a guy in a motorcycle accident that was in a coma for 5 months. He came back with a story that made me believe in God a lot more than I did. He met Jesus, and he was given the opportunity to live or die. He chose life...
-
Is it bad that I've seen this argument so many times that I can predict what either person will say next?
-
Not bad at all. I repeat myself alot.
Also LAB, the burden of proof lies with the person making an accusation. I could say that there's a teapot orbiting the sun between earth and mars, and simply because you can't prove that I'm wrong, doesn't mean that I'm right. If anything, you would want my proof that there is such a teapot, or you would write me off as crazy.
Also, as I've stated a dozen times, when the brain shuts down, it releases a chemical called DMT. it's the same chemical that is released when we dream. For a theist fearing death, as a motorcyclist would before his head hits the pavement, the dream would be centered around the idea that you have died. Hence, the mental creation of heaven. Your cyclist is no more credible than any 3rd grader who had a bad dream.
