The more I read posts from Christians on this site, then the more I begin to hate Christianity. Why?
Their posts, I can tell, show their true colors. What are they? Let me say a few no names though, and I'm not refering to you all...
Ignorance
Stubbeness(spelling issues?)
No ability to look at other people's views
Can't stop arguments they start
Preach because they think they will go to heaven
AND
Think their ways of life and beliefs are the only correct ones...
Just wanted to get this off my chest, and mind you the same things that I listed, you will see them posting it here, if they don't post, good for them... -
I'm generally discreet about my christianity, but I'll say a few things:
only receiving the lord jesus christ as savior can get you into heaven. Nothing else.
The Romans recorded Jesus and his extraordinary works
and we preach to teach right from wrong

=Ignorance. You don't care about other peoples' beliefs, just think your own religion is the "right religion" -
I don't even think of it as religion. You don't have to believe it, sometimes I have trouble believing it.

Rainicorn NewbieI am Christain, and yes I get stubborn when peope dis my beliefs because I respect theirs and they don't respect mine. I'm not saying they have to believe what I believe, but they should respect it.
And I don't 'preach'. I let the preacher do that! :P -
Telling people that they are not going to heaven because they are not Christians is not respecting other people's beliefs, so don't think high of yourself, plus the main reason why people preach is because they think they will go to heaven and its not for the person's benefit

I agree Kish. And these are only some of the reasons why Christianity, well religion in general, is so overrated. I can't respect most religious people and their views because they don't respect me for me and my own beliefs.
And just to think, with all that money that goes into church, starving children could be saved, countries living in constant poverty could be helped, science and knowledge throughout the world could be greatly developed, animals could defy extinction, and so much more. But that money will be put to use in other means, for religion. For the higher ups to become even more rich.
Their greediness is just unbelievable. -

And luna, I respect everyone's beliefs, so you can at least respect when I voice out mine. Those stupid Chrisatins that shove the religioj down your throat, I don't mind if you disrespect them, but I do ask that when my religions comes out of my mouth, it he respected hecause I respect everyone elses beliefs until they disrespect mine. -
Rainicorn, this is the reason why I said that I cannot respect most religious people. I understand everyone has their beliefs, and in the world we live in today it is practically impossible to not have a variety in beliefs. Religion is such a tough subject to discuss, mainly because of lack of respect actually, so I respect the fact that your beliefs are different to mine, but I cannot go further than that, I won't pretend I can. However as a person you seem very passionate and faithful to yourself, I have to admire and respect that too.

Honestly I don't tell people they are going to hell for not believing. That would be total crap! Plus I have no right to say someone deserves to be in heaven or hell. Yea, I'm a Christain, but that doesn't mean I believe every word written in the bible... -
