If the rapture doesn't happen this December, that would mess up a whole bunch of religion.

But just because the Mayan calendar ends around December doesn't mean the world's going to end. They could have ran out of stone or whatever they were using, to write on. And I don't see any date in the bible saying that the worlds going to end in December.
That's just my opinion, not hate please. -
Its not just the Mayan calender, geez.
NASSA has found earth sized tornadoes on the sun. Which means that the sun is letting out extreme solar flares that is set to arrive on earth somewhere in december. These flares will cause changes in the climate on earth as well as interfere with communication devices as well as power.
Oh, and the scientists expect the earth's poles to shift somewhere around december which will cause a global catastrophe but these are all theories
P.S The Bible did not state that over a 1000 people will die in Japan in 2011 but it happened. So just because the Bible does not state when the end of the world will be, doesn't mean it won't happen in 2012. We just have to wait and see... -

The Mayan Calender doesn't end in December. The age ends. The Mayans based their calenders on ages. And we're already in the 5th age. Going into the 6th.
The sun gives out solar flares all the time, sometimes larger than the ones you're talking about. They have never damaged us before and I highly doubt they will now.
As for the magnetic poles changing, the earth does that all the time. It doesn't cause catastrophe. When they totally flipped the last time, humans weren't around, and everything else moved on. -
