Just imagine...
If all the time spent in churches was instead spent pursuing worthwhile endeavors.
If all the money given to churches as instead donated to worthy causes.
If all the religious leaders changed vocations to social work and counseling so they may truly help others.
If all the people who pray for something actually did something constructive about it themselves.
If all the fears of punishment by an invisible God were lifted from the shoulders of people everywhere.
If all the love people generated toward a deity was instead directed towards other people.
Just imagine...
If people gave up religion for reality. -

In my church, NOBODY gets paid to do their job. XD

But that's just it, we're imagining it. I wish people would wake up to reality too.

Dadrocks43 NoviceThat was a very good way of putting religion. However, that is what the world sees of it. In "reality" people do not do things on their own. Church, Prayer, Worship ... They are all ways to spiritually connect with the Ultimate power. Before there was religion, GOD was there in those churches, he was not receiving money but it was one of the ways to help build a bigger church. God was a religious leader and a counselor and was a social worker. In "Reality" God does everything for you. Not necessarily saying that he is going to pour the milk into the bowl for you when your ready to eat cereal, but the more important things in life. We do not fear God's punishments, we fear him. We fear him in a way that is not " OMG he is going to strike me with a lightning bolt because i lied" but as in " God is the one who brought me here and so I am going to RESPECT him and follow his commands". The fear is not on everyone's shoulders, the burden is. It could be lifted if you let God lift it. God is not a deity. A deity is a Power. He is GOD not a god. The love we generate toward him is created by the fact that he did so much for us. As Christians, Love does spread to others. God wants us to love our neighbors as ourselves and our enemies too. This is all reality. People think we don;t grasp reality as it is. But the truth is, is that Reality is the deep sense of what the past was and is. :)

I believe in God, mainly Becasue he actually helped me last night in my dreams. I have no proof of why he did this, or how, But I fell like it was ment to show me is will always be there. :3
