Thread Topic: Why people will always hate Christians.......

As Christians we will ALWAYS be hated and mocked. This is because we have the holy spirit in us. People hated Jesus so they will hate us.
As brothers and sisters in Christ we need to support eachother and encourage eachother to finish the Christian race marked out for us. -
Some Christians are hypocrites and not very "Christian-y" at all. Just saying.
Sometimes people judge one person and reckons the whole group of them are the same as that one person. -
I'm sorry but there are too many ignorant idiots in Christianity that give the whole group a bad rap. I dont hate you guys, just the idiots.
What I do hate is labels. But society cant function without them. -
Yes, that is exactly why people hate Christians, because they insist that they are persecuted and they are addicted to martyrdom and basically want to be Christ on the cross.

Actually ange, I don't think that's the reason. I think the truth behind that is that Christianity as a whole has offended a lot of people both intentually and unintentually. Basically, by holding a different belief system than others, we automatically open ourselves up to ridicule. This goes for everyone. I mean, what are your views on atheism? Scientology? Most people strike other things down as false or stupid if they're not involved with them. As a christian, your beliefs are true to you, whereas to an outsider, they might not be. This creates resentment because of either, disgust, jealousy, ignorance or many other reasons. The more stalwart and different your beliefs are from someone else's, the greater this resentment becomes. Christianity can be seen as a threat to some. For example, if you are Muslim, this can be true. And then there are those whose lives have been hurt in some way by Christianity. These can be ancient grudges (Islam, Jews, black cats, Pagans) or recent judgements (gay marriage, racism, sexism). People may hate Christians or Christianity because they feel it is wrong and unjust.
But I dislike the practice of labeling a massive group (2 billion?) of people as one thing simply for one aspect of their personality/beliefs/lives. I don't think anyone should hate Christianity or Christians. Because hating that many people at a time just seems stupid and unreasonable and sad. -
alex014 NewbieI'll be perfectly honest. Christianity within itself: self-contradicting; hipocrite-like; hateful.
I do not speciffically like the religion. HOWEVER, people can practice what the want. But, the ones I have a problem with are the people who say they love their child unconditionally, but if their son/daughter is homosexual, the send them to camps, docters, I even know one that set my friend up for adoption. I don't like the ones who pick and choose the parts of the bible to follow.
I myself am not religious, and personally homosexual, and most of my friends are fine with. Now, the christians I hate the mst who think that gay rape every boy in sight.
Christians have done hateful things innthe past, but the world has grown up. So have they. My belief applies to all religions, not just this one.
