I don't believe we die and go into the ground. I don't know where we go, just believe that it'll be a land like our greatest dreams, designed by us.

I agree, once my friends were asking me if I believe in that stuff and I said no. Then they said if you don't you will go to hell and will burn in fire forever. Then I just left because I really didn't want to hear what they were saying

I can relate to that. It just gets annoying after a while.:/

I agree completely with you, Hephy. Though the thoughts and ideas from the Bible and the Torah can sometimes seem a bit far-fetched to me, it's those 'far-fetched' stories themselves that keep me hopeful. Believing helps me stay positive and have a brighter outlook for the future. If I wasn't to believe in an afterlife or a second chance, I probably would find myself miserable and a bit... well... dead. But that's just me. I need the spiritual aspect of things in order to keep myself strong.

The stories of the Old Testament are not meant to be taken literally. Any good Reformed rabbi will tell you that.

My friend on the bus tried to shove religion in my face when I told her I wasn't Christian. More people shoved it in my face in gym.

@Madid: I feel your pain.
I almost got into a religious debate(And I suck at debates so I try to stay out of them..) during economics when someone told me I was going to hell for not believing in god. We were studying the foundations of the US, and apparently they wanted everyone to be Christian.:P That's not how it is worded in the book, but it's how my teacher worded it. Tralalala~ -
I believe in Catholicism and that, unfortunetly, we will go to Hell if we do not spend our time here on earth worshipping and praising God. We will do to Heaven if we lead others into following Christ.
@Hephaestuschild
I know, it can get a little annoying with all those people shoving religion in your face. But, it's like if someone was blind and about to walk off a cliff. Wouldn't it be your responsiblity if you saw them and didn't direct them to do the right thing? You should warn them first, and if they don't listen, well it's there fault. That's why people just keep trying to warn you. They don't want to be responsible for you turning away from God.
I hope this cleared some things up. I hate how people get the wrong idea from us Catholics. They claim to know what we believe and then make fun of us for it. That is totally wrong and that you people keep to yourselves about your religion and we keep to ourselves about our religion.
