Agreed

And the 'devil's bible' or whatever just glorifies christianity even more :/
it was said Satan helped write it, apparently one of the most famous religious works ands he's not even doing it against god xP shows how evil he is
for all we know, he could be a honest angel that tried to help in his own way and god got butthurt for stealing the spotlight and banished him T_T -
Maybe if you would go to church or heat this from a Christian's perspective you would see this all differently. Because this is bull.

"Apparently Satan has rarely tempted people" I wonder where drew that fact up because it's certainly not true. He tempts all of us.
Never heard of the Zealot war. I'd appreciate background information.
The tree of knowledge was there to give Adam and Eve a choice. To obey or disobey. He gave them the freedom to do everything and anything they wanted but to not eat from the fruit. The temptation you are talking about is from the serpent that persuaded Eve to eat the fruit. SATAN was possesing the serpent to persuade them to make their decision.
Job- Perfect example of a man completly devoted to the Lord. He knew Job was strong enough to handle the wrath that God dished out to prove once again, Satan is wrong. Satan desired for this temptation to take place, so there you go again, SATAN is doing the tempting. I'll get back on more of them later. -
tongue AdvancedAccording to some Satanists teachings, Satan represents to forbidden fruit of knowledge. So Adam and Eve can be interpreted that way. I don't know an awful lot about Job, I was unaware that Satan was part of that story at all, I'll have to do a Wiki search on that.
-
tongue AdvancedOk, I got it now. I had always thought God tested Job instead of Satan, but I was mistaken. Here's how a Satanist would interpret that story: because Satan represents wisdom, Satan was testing Job's wisdom and not his faith. It would have been wise for Job to give in to temptation, because the suffering would end, but he did not give in, therefore Job was unwise and failed Satan's test.
I don't neccessarily believe all this, but be aware that many of the truths we claim to be self-evident depend greatly on our point of veiw, and anyone who can present a good argument can appear correct. -
What wisdom is there in substituting relief from torture now rather than relief from torture in heaven? I'm not saying that if Job made the decision to give in he would be sent to hell, what I am saying is that giving in would make it easier to do it again, which in turn could completely turn one away from God.
That's a moral teaching. -
tongue AdvancedThe wisdom is that you can be sure that the torture will end on Earth if you give in. It's something of a gamble to believe there is a life after the one you have on Earth, and that you can wait until then for the torture to end.

Since I believe there is afterlife, no wisdom exists in that. Otherwise, there is wisdom in that. But afterlife applies in this situation, so there is no wisdom.

mkay, this is a FOOD FOR THOUGHT meaning i don't want an argument, i just want agrees and disagrees
and 2, this was just to see the OTHER point of view, britt not everyone's going to look at it your f---ign way theres more sides to one view
this is the way I see it, i don\t give a f--- either way, and i'm no even a theistic satanist. -
Sorry, I had no idea what that meant.
This is a satanist teaching? -
i have no idea, this wasn't really written by me at all, it was by a friend of mine just felt like sharing, bud
this is kind of how i see, i see BOTH sides of the argument but i lean towards one of them to dig deeper to find out more
eh, we all get attacked when we say foodforthought cause no one really knows what it means -
I always love your nicknames for me. You and heph.
Well, the Biblical lesson is really left up to interpretation, it means something similar to what I posted.
Of course I also have to read into certain subjects more than others. -
i call you brittles and brickabrack and brits and bud e_e not sure if that's sarcasm..
yeah, i interpret everything VERY weirdly...
