What the title says: is it offensive to use the Christian cross in lore? Google refused to help and I wanted to see what the religious people on this forum think.

The cross was used as a symbol WAY before Christianity started using it. There will always be some Christians who would be upset about it, but it isn't actually offensive

As a Christian, I'd say it depends on how you do it. Death by cross existed before Jesus' crucifixion, so I'd just say be respectful and mindful in the way you present it as it is the cross is very symbolic and meaningful for most, if not all Chrisrians
