I don't follow any religion I'm more of a spiritual person- but I'm somebody who believes there is something positive you can take out of any religion or spirituality or learn about from them without personally following it. There is always so much hostility to other beliefs or counter action trying to say who is wrong who is right and who is the worst.
So. What is something random from another religion, belief or spirituality that you respect or like, even if you do not follow that religion or such yourself? -
As someone who believes in manifestation and mindfulness I really love the idea of praying, especially for people who you don't or barely know. Just the thoughtfulness behind spending your time wishing wellness onto others it's super amazing to me. When I worked at a grocery store this really sweet woman went up to all of the workers once a week and talked to them. She told everyone she was praying for them and thought that we were rockstars for doing the work we did. I heard some co workers get really mad at her and I can't understand why. She never once inferred we should believe what she did or ask any of us to join her church, all she did was want to get to know us so she could pray for us to the most powerful person in her eyes. That's such a wholesome gesture. For me the idea of wishing intentions into the universe one way or another is super powerful. Perhaps not even on a cosmic level, but just for your own inner peace. Meditation and thoughtfulness are always appreciated to me regardless of what power you attribute to them. It's just about spreading positivity and thoughtfulness and taking time out of your day to impact people in a positive way.
