If your information about satanism comes from Christianity there is a good chance you're not entirely sure what they believe. I'm assuming you've never read the satanists bible. I have and although I do find certain aspects of it don't align with my values, it is nothing like how I was told it was as a child in a Christan household.
If you're thinking rituals and demonic worship you don't know what satanism is. Satanism is more about a set of moral doctrines than it is about wishing harm and "all hail Satan." It's very similar to the wiccan bible in a lot of ways but there is a clear distinction. Wiccan religion is also probably nothing like you imagine it is. -
Disregard that last part about the wiccan religion. I was thinking about about specific sector in the community but I can't in good faith make that general comparison. It's a little disrespectful to the beliefs of both religions
