My entire family is filled with christians.
It's hard blending in and being forced into a religion, since I just want to be myself. That's why I come online; so I can escape life and just be who I am and have my flaws.
When I told my sister I was bisexual a while ago, she said it was against the Bible and God.
So, I pretend to be heterosexual.
My parents see it as this;
Against the Bible
Against God
Disgusting
Demonic
Sinful -
To offer an answer, may i know the meaning of lgbtq?

LGBT or GLBT is an initialism that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. In use since the 1990s, the term is an adaptation of the initialism LGB, which began to replace the term gay in reference to the broader LGBT community beginning

I think the real question here is what should a Christian's view be about this.
And since Christians are supposed to follow God, we need to look at how God sees it.
The Bible does say that homosexuality is a sin. (For example, 1 Corinthians 6:9 says "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality...") HOWever, it is not an unforgivable sin. Many claiming Christians take the sin of homosexuality to the extreme, and I myself have heard it preached that homosexuality is "the worst sin" and that it is so "unnatural and abominable" that it is somehow in an entirely different category. This is simply not true. Yes, homosexuality is a sin, an offense against God, but so is lying, so is stealing, so is adultery, and coveting, and worshipping anything other than God. The Bible says that we are ALL sinners, that we are all deserving of punishment, but God in his love made a way for us to be forgiven, to be made righteous through His son Jesus. This offer is open to anyone, including those who struggle with same sex attraction, which is evident in the same chapter that condemns the sin of homosexuality when it says (vs 11) "And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." No sin is unforgivable, the Bible says if we confess our sins God is faithful to forgive us for our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Acts 16:31 says "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. "
God hates the sin but loves the sinner, and this is how Christians should be too.
Sadly, many of those who claim to be Christians have been taking things to the extreme, such as churches who say horribly hateful things about LGBT people and focus entirely on hating the sin, or the other extreme which ignores the sin and says God doesn't care about it even though the Bible clearly says He does.
Basically what I'm trying to say is this: Homosexuality is a sin. But it's not the only sin, or even the "worst/unforgivable" sin, as the Bible says in Romans 3:10 that "there is none righteous, no not one." But God loves all people, and when Jesus died he took the punishment for all our sins, so now all we have to do is repent (turn away from our sin) and put our trust in Jesus. <3 -
I think the Christians that take it to the extreme forget that they're sinners as well and that God views all sin equally.

The word "homosexual" wasn't actually put into translations of the Bible until the 1940s. Many of the verses "condemning" homosexuality used a word that was actually referring to pedophiles. Instead of "men sleeping with men," it should really be "men sleeping with young boys."
this explains it better
So yeah basically it's completely possible the Bible isn't actually condemning homosexuality, it's just homophobes using the Bible to push their homophobia -
If the bible only says homosexual men does that mean lesbians are ok?
I'm not so sure about that bread. I'm pretty sure I heard about a pope way back who slept with young boys and his excuse was that the bible said nothing against. Im too lazy to look for a source tho -
Well of course the pedophile is going to use the translations that don't say anything against pedophilia

I'm not completely sure how the other Christain religions view it; I'm a Mormon, which is one of the Christian religions. Idk, do you want me to tell you how my religion views it, or do you not particularly care?

About what?

Like, would you want to know how my Christian religion views LGBTQ+ or no?
