why does god hate gay people?
-
Ok, I've been thinking about this one, actually
1st off, God does not hate gay people. John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
God loves all people at all places and at all times.
Now there is Objective and Subjective Justification.
Objective Justification is that Jesus died for every single person on the face of the earth at all times. The objective was for all to be saved.
Subjective Justification is where only those who believe that Jesus died and cleansed them from their sins are saved.
It's basically like God gave you a present. If you reject it, it's not yours, is it?
James 2:17,18: "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do."
Having faith is going to impact how we act. We're going to want to follow God's word. We're going to do what he says to do and what not to do, not because we have to, but because we want to.
Now, God does say that homosexuality is a sin. (If you want me to find the passages I can, but I just woke up and I'm too tired for that).
Why? Maybe because it goes against what God said in Genesis when he said, "Be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it."
Other than that I can't think of why. The fact is that we're not told in the Bible. Sometimes God doesn't explain things, and we just have to trust him. We do not know what we are not told.
(And sorry if that doesn't sound good, I just woke up. And also, if this turns into an argument, I'm not participating.) -
U cant look for proof if there is none
Consequentially you cant find proof
And in the ends of all things u have none -
Could you show us the passages where it says homosexuality is a sin?
-
Romans 1:26,27: "...Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflames with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other meant and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. "
1 Corinthians 6:9,10: "Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
1 Timothy 1:9,10: "We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers - and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine." -
Oh wow, this is the first time I've seen someone not just use the passage that talks about stoning men that sleep with "men" (even though that one is really about pedophilia)
Thanks, I was just curious -
To be honest, I don't think I've ever heard that one.

Wow. You've taken over my thread.
That's really amazing
