I personally despise religion. Physically what good has it ever done humanity? Relgion is the cause for over half of the wars we have ever been in and is the reason for most of humanities greatest trageties.
Look at history. It is because of religion that we had the Great Crusades. English soldiers campaigned across the world, slaughtering thousands of defenseless women and children in the name of 'God'.
The Dark Ages. Millions died because of the Black Death. A plague that swept across most of Europe because science was forbidden. We had no chance to defeat it and were defenseless. Not to mention the dark ages, slowed down human evolution by more than 300 years.
Religions only good use was from back a long time ago when people needed a quick answer because Science was still in progress. Since then it has taken root and spread like a festering cancer across all of humanity. Science can disprove anything that religion tries to explain. But human beings have become so content in their own lies and old habits that even now religion is stopping us from progressing forward.
Religion is the cancer of humanity. Try to prove me wrong. I dare you. -

I agree with most of this small spech of your's, Ork, though I do think religion, in some ways, helps us to move past hard spots in our life.

tongue AdvancedThere's some good and some bad. Most of the bad just comes from plain a--holedom and intolerance. If different religions were willing to coexist, we wouldn't have dumb wars over it, like in Israel. And of course there's the rampant intolerance of Christianity. I think faith and religion still have their place, but humanity really just needs to stop being so f---ing dumb about it.

I don't have a problem with religion.
I have a problem with people who are so stubborn and so sure they're correct in their beliefs, that they won't even consider any other ideas and pretty much stop learning. That's what causes a bunch of the stupid stuff to happen, in my opinion. -
barberbob- people at the time believed that God sent the Black Plague. Uhh and don't blame it on religion. Science was no where near technological age to end the plague. It just had to go through its course.
And science disproves itself on the Big Bang theory. Nothing became something....? Nope. not how it works. It had to be made by a divine creator. -
Also- I thought you wanted to make peace and then bring up a really controversial topic? Not understanding.

The big bang theory doesnt disprove itself. It proves everything and anything. The big bang theory is infinite improbability. It states that however unlikely something is to happen, the fact that time and space are infinite means that somewhere it'll happen.
Empty space is stagnant. The truest form of stagnant. There is nothing to move. That means that space before the Big Bang was full of nothing but potential energy. Energy in any form is still energy. And we have already proven that we can turn mass into energy. So the Big Bang theory suggests that the same can go either way. Apon the first release of Mass from Potential energy, all surrounding potential energy swarmed to it. Turning into kinetic energy and physical mass. The fact that it kept expanding meant that it gathered more and more potential energy from the space around it and continued to gain mass at such a high rate that to us it would seem like an instant.
And Brit, I did try and go for peace. But I was under the impression that religious people like you would do the same. But I checked back later and saw that none of you had changed your ways at all. You are a hypocritical ass hole who has no right to complain about anything I post. You are offended when people post anything negative about your religion and yet you go around and tell us we're all blind and ignorant but god still loves us. Do you honestly think we're not going to take offense to that? Get the hell out of here. You disgust me. You and all of your kind. You are the lowest of the low. The most pathetic waist of human existance I have ever met. Get out of my sight. -
Yeah that was like 1 and a billionith chance of that to happen. The simpler view is that there was a divine creator. I take offense when people make assumptions about me and Christians in general. I also did make assumptions the same and i've apopligized for it. You people on ther hand haven't. Or anyone else. Just because I don't cuss doesn't mean I'm not offended. And I agreed with your idea of just taking it easy, until people who think their funny start making fun of Christianity and me. Bunniesrule thread. Didn't appreciate that. Really, I haven't started a discussion in order to fight. Ignorance was towards katie, who created a huge friekin article and stamped my name on it and literally none of it applied. She didn't understand. I even explained it to her in a big article too. She turns me down. How could you not call that ignorant. God does love us. That's what he says. Really you're going overboard now.

Did you know that the religion forum used to never be like this? There was once a time when every religion and opinion could openly talk here and even though we would dissagree, we would be respectful about it. Our comments were usually, "I agree to disagree." Or "I believe that everyone should follow their own beliefs." I miss those simpler times. Do you know what happened to those simpler times? The times when religion was free and happy? This turmoil was sparked by a single comment. One not unlike the one you say so very often.
"You are all blind and ignorant, but God still loves you anyways."
Those are the words spoken so very long ago that keep echoing to even today. That is why I disrespect you. That is why I dont like your kind. People like you, who openly insult others without a second thoght to their opinions, you are the ones who turned this site against itself. And no matter how hard or how long I try, the damage is done. The effects are lasting and scarring. People like you literally are the Cancer of GTQ. -
And what do we do with cancer? We send electricity through it!
