The rapture is coming soon; At any moment. It could be while you're asleep, in church, at work, or more! He'll come when we least expect it. If you read in Revelation, it was talking about covid-19, all the fires and other disasters that are happening before it even started! If you're not a christian and you're thinking, why? It's because he wants to wipe out this world to start a new one, a clean one with eternal life. It'll be paradise! In the 7-year tribulation, after the rapture, non-believers will be left behind, but will have one more chance only; no sinning. God says that those who are killed for his sake will find him and have everlasting life; but those who reject him in the sake of their worldy lived will get rejected by God and cast into hell. God says we need to be ready, as if the rapture is in 2 seconds every day. We need to have childlike faith, and read our bibles daily.

but I’m not religious -
I'm sorry, but I'm seeing a bit of the what-cha-ma-call-it where unbelievers are left behind and are given a second chance to come to faith, which isn't correct.
God isn't going to give unbelievers a second chance after he comes on Judgement Day. Believers go to heaven, unbelievers go to hell, that's it, there's no second chance. He's given even the unbelievers every chance. He gave them his word, he gave them both the natural and the revealed knowledge of God. They rejected him.
There's also predestination, which is a tricky subject, because most people (including me) aren't entirely clear on it, but basically God chose us to go to heaven. Why would he bring those he didn't choose?
And according to Job, "every eye will see him." If every person sees Jesus in all his terrifying glory and holiness, with the angels and the trumpets, and everything, how could they not believe? They'd all be like, "Oh no, wait, I believe, I believe!" But they're too late, they've had their entire lives. So if they suddenly believe that Jesus was the Messiah, then what would be the point of that second chance afterwards? There wouldn't be. -
Dragon, your god is f---ed up

yeah, if god really wanted people to believe he'd show a bit more proof. it seems like he just wants to send people to hell for his own enjoyment tbh

He sounds fairly sadistic.
Almost dictator-ish. Leave all the people to die and go to hell because we have different beliefs? I thought he was supposed to be nice :( -
I thought god loved all the humans

Look, I don't want to blow up Eclipse's thread. If you'd like me to make another thread, I can.

Yeah, I’d like to get into a discussion, because I wanna see what people think

Ok

After the rapture happens, there'll be a seven year tribulation. Non believers will have one last chance, but if they sin, then they're in the devil's hands.

In verses one and two, Paul states: “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.” (All Bible quotations are from the King James Version.)

There have been other pandemics. The fires are due to climate change.
