I never imagined Jesus as a black person. But i've never seen anyone interpret that he was black so that's new to me

At a bookstore near me, they have this weird manga version of the bible. They have it in English and a few other languages, and in two languages (too stupid to remember WHICH languages Dx) Jesus was black. :/ -
I guess maybe they draw Jesus with whatever skin color that most people who speak that language have? I mean, since I'm and American and Americans are usually white, I usually imagine Jesus as a white person. Same with France and England.
