I'm an atheist because the burden of proof lies on the person making the positive claim. Provide reasonable evidence that something exists or stop trying to convince others.

I believe in God mainly because in the process of trying to figure out how the universe works and how it came into existence, it makes no sense (at least to me) to not have a God, or in other words, I need God to be able to make the "framework" of the way I think everything happened and will happen work. Now as for others of the Catholic Faith, I'm not sure, as my beliefs are slightly different, but this is the most major reason I find it reasonable that there is a God, plus a few more (and smaller) reasons that other people probably wouldn't understand...

Good reason, science can't really answer it all. There being a God would be a answer for most things. BTW, I would love to try and understand the other reason too. But of course you don't need to say so if you don't want to X3
