I'm a christian, right? I'm starting to not believe anymore. A bunch of reasons why-
1. Hinduism makes more sense to me.
2. God to me just isn't there. I mean, like, he's nonexistant in my life. It doesn't make sense.
3. when I go to church, I dont get it.
4. Where the heck did the bible even come from?? -
ShanaMay NewbieIn order to feel God's presence in your life you need to have the Holy Spirit in your heart. You need to recognize Jesus Christ as the lord and savior that loves you so much to die for you. He wants to meet you again and have a personal spiritual relationship with you. He did the work that was needed to be done to do that, and all you need to do is accept Him, confess that you are not perfect and have sinned, and choose to follow Him. Do you believe there is good and evil in this world? Evil is what separates us from God. Because of sin and evil in the world that we all are in some way responsible for, the consequence of it is spiritual death. God does not want anyone to perish, so He made a way for anyone who wants to know His purity and love to overcome evil. The reason heaven is complete bliss is because there is no more evil and you're in complete presence of God. The opposite of God is evil, and hell is complete absence of God.
That is what Christianity is all about. Without that message all you have is a church building, an organized religion, and people who think they can use religious influence to condemn people and act self-righteous. I don't know what church you go to, but if you truly want a deeper belief in Christianity you need to have a personal belief and relationship with it. Read the Bible (which is yes, a book written by human beings but was inspired by God. You're going to have to take that on faith, but I believe once you feel the Holy Spirit in your heart and God's love that isn't such an unbelievable thing to believe in) and pray to God (it doesn't have to be formal or planned out, just talk to Him with whatever you feel). It's a continuous journey and I believe it's worth it. No, it's not always easy, especially when people think you're crazy for believing in a God in the first place, but when you really have that spiritual connection and loving relationship with God it's worth it all. Just trust Him and remember not to get caught up in what churches or preachers say. Mankind is imperfect, so if you want the truth, always turn to God's Word and Truth over another human being's. -
Might I suggest Laveyan Satanism?

1. I feel the same way. The universe would run more smoothly if God had regional managers. Also the Hindu gods look way more badass.
2. God isn't in anyone's life really. Most people who turn to religion do it because no one loves them so they seek the love of God.
3. Need a little more info to answer this one cuz different churches have different kinds of services. But across the spectrum it is mostly a method of instilling the church's values in the flock, and the flock is so eager to win the love of God that they will do whatever they are told to do in church.
4. Basically a bunch of Roman guys had a circle jerk and their jizz became the Bible. Or something like that. -
Basically my advice is to avoid organized religion all together, all it does is spread irrational hatred.

Try and consider what you believe in and feel is right. I agree with tongue on avoiding organized religion. If Hinduism makes more sense to you, then why not do some research and consider converting to that religion if you desire to? If you don't get what's going on at church, then simply put, it's probably not for you. The old testament is a compilation of hastily put together legends originating from the middle east that have no relevance to the modern day. The new testament was written by some guys who had a boner for Jesus and exaggerated the greatness of his life.

Finchy...I am really surprised that Hinduism makes more sense to you. I am also a Hindu....
I think that there is no god. He has no existence at all! But because of some peoples in the world, the word RELIGION has been made. I have a question: Can we die without religion,Do we have to breathe in religion instead of oxygen? -
