Thread Topic: Islam vs. Christianty

  No this is not some kind of battle lol.
  
  So at first when I learned about Islam I was shocked - it was almost exactly like Christianity. I was kind of panicking, thinking well how can I know which one is right?
  
  Here's the difference ~
  Allah: Muslims do not have a personal relationship with him. They do not know what he is like.
  God: Christians have a personal relationship with him. God expressed his love for us by sending his son to suffer until dead on a cross. He lived us that much that he would go through that pain. We know what he is like: he loves us. So much. And we can have a personal connection with him.
  
  
  This is not me trying to prove which one is right.
  I am just stating the difference.

  You have a personal relationship with your God because a guy was tortured to death 2000 years ago?
  
  Sorry, but you have about as much of a personal relationship with your God as Muslims do.

  I don't know how to explain it.
  
  But Musilms say they do not know what God is like - he is just...well...in the sky. Idk.
  
  In Christian beliefs, Jesus came and /talked/ to us and /helped/ us. He showed his love through death. This is not in Islamic beliefs.

  No. I'm not saying which one i think is right.
  I'm just saying which one i think is....I don't want to say better but you get what I'm saying.
  
  I'd rather believe in a god that loves me than one that I do not know very well (all they know about him is that he's their God)

  Read some of Macooo's posts. The Muslim god actually sounds more loving than yours.
  
  And if you judge your belief off of which one is the most loving, then why not go with any of the other MORE LOVING religions?
