I Am a Christian
When I say, I am a Christian
Im not shouting, Ive been saved!
Im whispering, I get lost sometimes
Thats why I chose this way
When I say, I am a Christian
I dont speak with human pride
Im confessing that I stumble -
needing God to be my guide
When I say, I am a Christian
Im not trying to be strong
Im professing that Im weak
and pray for strength to carry on
When I say, I am a Christian
Im not bragging of success
Im admitting that Ive failed
and cannot ever pay the debt
When I say, I am a Christian
I dont think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
asking humbly to be taught
When I say, I am a Christian
Im not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
but God believes Im worth it
When I say, I am a Christian
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache
which is why I seek Gods name
When I say, I am a Christian
I do not wish to judge
I have no authority
I only know Im loved. -
Very well written :) It's perfectly true and a very good summation of what being a Christian is.

When you say "I do not wish to judge", do you mean that you don't mean to, but you do it anyways?

It is hard not to judge sometimes. That's why as Christians we try not to and if we do then we need to apologize. Nice poem!!!
