Alleria NoviceWhy should people have religions?
Everybody have thier own beliefs now and then...
I believe in God but I don't have a religion.
Ok, and another thing...my aunt is a "converted" Christian. The only thing is... she only cares about herself. She spends money without blinking an eye. And aren't Christians suppose to confess after doing a sin? Like cussing? 'Cause when I was living with her,
1) she was cursing 24/7,
2) pretending that she was taking care of a kid, when she wasn't(I had to babysit him),
3) violating HIPA (a nursing thing where you have to keep patient confidenality),
4) smoking,
5) having an affair with a guy(who hasn't told his kids about her)
6) (probably growing drugs, it smelled like maruijuana possibly),
7) left my grandma alone when the doctors specially said that she wasn't allowed to be alone (then my grandma died shortly after that)
and
8) even trying to get my grandma's life insurance behind our backs, (my mom has to do it first, so my aunt can't do it, so haha).
SO, WHAT THE CRUD...SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY AUNT! ALSO, YOUR OPINIONS TOO. -
Having a religion doesn't change how you act. Hell I could be a Christian and not change. But technically she's going against the church doing all...that. Except for the leaving your grandma alone, is seriously against the church.
I personally think it's a physical being that is in charge of us. Not a "God". -
Well having a religion should change how you act. *Raises eyebrow* If she has a relationship with God and reads her bible, she's still Christian. But not a very...dedicated...Christian.
Religions are...ugh. You either believe in God or you don't. And yet a bunch of other religions and Gods were made up.
^ Please note that these are just my beliefs about other people's beliefs. -
Sure, your aunt is NOT a Christian!
-
She doesn't sound like a Christian.... :/
If you are a Christian it means you put your faith in Christ. You trust that God is just/fair and loving. If you believe this, then you'll most likely try and live the way God wants.
Your Aunt seems to be ignoring God. Maybe you could try speaking to her about it. Make sure you're kind about it and it might be a good idea to back your 'opinion' up with a bible verse :)
Good luck hon! -
She sounds about as Christian as you can get these days. Silly laws keeping her from practicing her beliefs the way the bible tells her to. Honestly, if she wanted to be as Christian as the bible tells her to, she should be stoning you to death for speaking out against her. That's if you weren't already sold as a sex slave or forced to marry. If those were the case, then your new owner/husband should be stoning you to death.
Your aunt really needs to work on her faith. -
UnLoving Newbie^ Bible verse to back this up please?
And what laws? You don't need to disobey the laws to be a Christian :)
YOU KNOW WHAT IM TIRED OF USUNG SMILEY FACES
*Spaz attack over* -
Oh yes, I've seen this before, the people who think that acknowledging Jesus as their Lord and Savior somehow absolves them of being a cruddy human being.
