Thread Topic: How to avoid going to hell.

When it's the end of the world and the christian god(or any other religion god) is going to put you in hell, tell him this:
"You could've not created me."
Now if he's smart and logical, he'll realize that actually HE is the main reason for your sins(because he created you and this world and whatever reason that made you commit those sins) and won't put you in hell.
But if he's not smart or logical...then I'm sorry because you're screwed and it can't be helped.
So...sin away sons. -
Two words: free will.
God created us and then gave us the free will to do what we want. The ones who follow him anyway, despite everyday temptations, are the ones that have strong faith and real love for God and go to Heaven.
Sure, he could've made us perfect, but that would defeat the purpose of humans because we wouldn't love him for real; we would only love him evaluate he created us that way. -
Because*

Free will makes no differences in the fact that god created whatever reason that made you commit the sin.
Just think about it and you'll understand what I say....hopefully. -
Yes
He can, but he doesn't interfere due to free will; unless of course you ask him for help. (And that doesn't mean just saying "God, please help me". You need to actually mean it and believe; not jut ask for help to test his existence)
No; he wants people to not give in to evil in the first place.
God DIED for us. To save us. Even though we all acted like s--- and sinned against him. He gave us another chance. Most of us blew our chance. (There is of course forgiveness) We decided to give in to this evil. Which God died to free us of in the first place. And then we just have into and/or created more evil. Of course he loves us; he died for us to rid us of our sin. -
@Vik --- Satan tempts you into sin. And then you give into the temptation.
-
So Satan is more powerful?
God had to kill himself to even start to undo what Satan did with a single conversation. -
Whoa whoa whoa. God didn't kill himself. The nonbelievers killed him.
No. (Satan was the most powerful angel but no) He had to do it that way so that he wouldn't mess with free will. -
God has still spent thousands of years, billions of lives, and had to sacrifice himself to save us... All because Satan talked to one woman in a garden.
In your belief, Satan is more powerful. -
I still stick to the fact that there is no free will when your God forces you to be in His religion. There is no free will
-
^has a good point.
-
Religion debates are always enjoyable to observe.
-
God doesn't force you to be in his religion *Raise eyebrow*
God doesn't even have a "religion" in the first place. You either believe in God or you don't. -
"Praise me or burn in hell for all eternity."
Yeah, that's definitely a free choice.
