Okay. Did Adam have a wife before Eve? Because I was taught that when I was in church and everyone says I'm wrong.

I've heard that Lilith was his first wife, but because she wouldn't be submissive (being a woman she was expected to have no free will or thought) she became a demon and then Eve came in.

Lilith came before Eve, and then, like Appa said, she wouldn't be submissive to Adam. So Adam complained to god and then god made Eve.
I actually think Lilith is pretty cool because she stood up to Adam and for women's rights way before they actually happened. -
Also one of the reasons I quit religion, why must we dictate someone's life based on the configuration of their reproductive system?

The Catholic Church doesn't even acknowledge Lilith. The first time I heard of her was when I was watching a documentary.

Well I was sitting in church with my dad(When I actually went). They were talking about adam and eve being the first humans. After church my dad brought out this red book. He said the Bible never talks about Lilith. me being ten, I really didnt understand. so I brought it up in church. Eh....they didnt tell me either, just not to bring her name up in church again. so I read the red book and learned about Lilith.
I dont remember what type of churh system my dad and everyone else went to because I didnt read the signs, also I fell asleep in church. -

Because The Bible, has been edited. In some old text, yes they mention her. But someone didnt want her in the Bible. So they got her out. I dont know what that red book was, but it said alot the Bible didn't talk about.
