Why do so many people hate Christians? I mean not to start an argument. I only want some answers. I feel like at my school (or everywhere in general) the Feminists, the Athiests, the Muslims, the Hindus, the Pagans, the Buddhists, etc. always get to speak their minds. They get the right of the Constitution and of the First Amendment, but my group, the Christians, are forced into silence. When my government teacher is bashing Christians and forcing his beliefs/everything I was taught against down my throat I feel like I can't say anything because there are so many people that hate "my kind" sitting in that classroom.(I'm not sure if there are any other Christians in my government class either.) So how come every other group in America is allowed to vent their beliefs and their feeling, but if the Christians try to it turns into some type of spiritual or political slaughterhouse?

Thank you!

I think it's that the way that people (at least in my school) present Christianity like everyone is Christian automatically. But than again, most people in my school are Christian and most of the others have to be quiet.
Personally, I like to stay objective and not take sides. If I were a teacher, I wouldn't be forcing my opinions onto my students. I would present evidence of both sides and let them choose for themselves. -
I think you are overestimating or imagining the supposed hatred that exists for your people. You know the history of Christianity, right? Christians used to be fed to lions by the Romans. It could be so much worse. You have as much right as anyone to say you believe, and by imagining that everyone is persecuting you, you've basically cowed yourself into silence. There are almost certainly other Christians in your class, because 86% of Americans identify as Christians.
All that being said, I will answer your question. There are some people who hate Christianity and Christians. They aren't as common as you think, but they exist. If I can give my own personal reason as to why I don't agree with Christianity, or any other religion, it is because I believe that all religion stifles personal development. It stifles creativity, it stifles objective reasoning, and more than anything else, it is used by followers as a vehicle for hate against others. I have seen that last particular element a lot with Christians in America. The obvious example is the Christians veiw and treat homosexuality. Another problem I have with religion is that followers pick and choose what parts of their holy text they want to follow. Yes, it says in Leviticus that a man shall not lie with another man. Leviticus also bans tattoos, yet many Christians get tattoos of crosses or Bible verses. I also have problems with the hypocrisy of religion. For example, Jesus was a pacifist who believed in non-violence, yet Christianity is responsible for a large chunk of the violence in human history.
That sums it up pretty sucinctly.
