Being hurt emotionally by someone, being hurt physically, and being bullied are 3 different things. One can turn into another, but they're different.

As in:
I was discriminated against and spat on, because I liked Spartans. This hurt me emotionally.
I was stabbed in the arm, and small pieces of metal were lodged in there until they came out naturally over a year. This hurt me physically.
Things like this happened almost every day, for the full school year. This is bullying. -
