Ok first of all religious freedom my ass that law ain’t giving the church religious freedom it’s giving less freedom to trans religious ppl-

the funny thing is that (at least in my experience) mormons raise more trans/genderqueer kids than any other religion I know (which could just be a mE BiAs tHinG) so like, the reverse psychology is reverse psychologying -
What's funny is that for the most part they can't really control what people do. Like, they can enforce some of it (like the priesthood thingy and the adults working with children) but if I really wanted to, I could go to the Young Mens camp. No one is stopping me from that, but aPPareNtLy I'm not supposed to do overnight stuff with the gUys (which I don't want to anyways because they're weirdos lol)

There's some mistranslated stuff in the bible that talks about gay people, so yeah, and trans people are 'destroying their bodies' by medically transitioning and there's a whole 'your body is a temple' thing we learn (which fair enough, I get the reasoning behind that, but some temples need remodeling or else they'll be destroyed, so I mean-) also we have tWO oThEr bOOks lol -

I get the reasoning behind that, but how does it affect the ppl at church- like getting top surgery won’t affect your connection with jesus or whatever if jesus “loves everyone” he won’t like ppl not being able to work at church bc they (totally safely) altered their body. Plus giving trans ppl right won’t take away religious people’s rights- wHy ArE tHeRe sO mAnY bOoKs- jk jk

That’s so weird like- idk I don’t want to insult anybody lol but like ppl were gay way before Christianity even existed. The Greeks and Romans were very gay, even the Egyptians. Most of the stuff talking about gay people was mistranslated in the 18/1900s ish (like there's one about how men shouldn't be with men when it was originally men shouldn't be with BOYS. It was talking about pedophiles, not gay people. Also apparently lesbians can do whatever they want because it was all about guys- xD) and Jesus healed a gay couple and they mistranslated it T_T -
And we're not even gonna talk about how Joseph Smith called Angel Moroni handsome like 20 times in the first page of the Book of Mormon-
