So, I noticed around age 15, I slowly started having the urge to repeat certain words and phrases. Not sure if I did it before, but that's when I noticed I was doing it because my folks would get so tired of hearing me repeat things. I would sometimes feel stuck saying the word, but I wasn't usually in distress. It felt satisfying to just say it over and over again. Sometimes I would also type out the word or phrase again and again and it was just satisfying. Other times, I would do so when I got really anxious, but it helped calm me down. I find that even years later, I'm still like this and my folks are still telling me to shut up because I just get stuck repeating words and phrases that are somehow satisfying. Like, I'll say "wormy" over and over. When I was 16, I kept repeating "Kept you waiting, huh?" almost instinctively.
