nerdy people are all different. they're social skills vary from person to person just like anyone else
-
The definition of a nerd says that they're very intelligent people but don't have very good social skills.
-
f--- *their
-
I agree with Drekk, they vary, but in general they're on the low side
-
f--- I'm a nerdy emo person.
-
Not sure if I'm considered a nerd or a geek
-
Depends on the person. Being a nerd doesn't really define your social skills tbh
-
Iâm a bookworm and I have terrible social skills, so it depends on who you talk to.

Nah. I've met several "nerdy" people who were totally capable of holding amazing conversations and making friends or were overall very charming. Interests or knowledge don't really play a part in social skills so much as development, upbringing, personality, environment, societal pressures, social intelligence and the likes do.
Some people w mental illnesses/anxiety/disabilities may also struggle w social situations. Some but not all. Others may be totally bomb with social situations
And also, some people may just be more introverted and simply don't feel the need or desire to be as social as other people. Introverts may also be more drawn to hobbies others may find "nerdy" and they may just prefer to stick to their interests and not engage in social situations as much as other people.
overall, I dont think there's much of a correlation between simply being "nerdy" and poor social skills. -
Define nerd. also social skills. Society has skewed the meanings of both of these terms thru the years

No, but I have a nerdy friend and they have 0 social skill, but I know a lot of other nerds who know how to interact with others great and even have a lot of friends. Actually, I think being a nerd doesnât connect with intelligence much. I think itâs more determination and a will to be knowledgeable, but I respect everyone else's definition of what a nerd is.

I feel like a lot of the nerdy people I know of concentrate more on school and ânerdy-stuffâ than trying to talk to people and develop more of a social life
