Because if you keep everything in, it builds up over time and becomes worse and worse..It's like pouring a glass of water. Every time you pour a little more, it becomes a bit more full, and if you keep filling it without drinking any it'll spill over..and it won't be pretty when it does.

Maybe it is thrilling at first, but afterwords you have a mess you have to clean up and you have to refill the glass, sometimes more times than others depending how much you managed to spill.

.....I didn't mean it.. I try to come off as cold, but I never mean any of it. I'll be honest, I'm tearing up right now. I'd always thought I'd be stronger if I pushed everyone away, but it hurts me more...

You can't keep doing this, pushing people away. You need to let people help you. You can't always be this big, strong guy. You have to let yourself break sometimes or else you'll end up exploding. Let yourself spill sometimes, love. Little spills so you don't end up making a big one you can't clean up.

And you are, but even the most confident, strongest people have to break down sometimes. It's what makes us human. It's impossible to keep yourself happy while catering to others all the time.

You have to, sometimes. If you don't everything will spill over at once and it's easier to clean up a small puddle than it is to soak up a river.
